This statement completely contradicts Miles 07 Natty then, and would mean Miles was a good coach in 07. Can't have it both ways...

Because we can't.

Good lord, man, are you really blasting a guy for giving his opinion? On a fan message board?

People were very optimistic going into this season.

Only people who didn't have a clue. Anyone who knew that we had no OL, no QB, no offensive game planning, no depth in the front 7 on defense and questionable special teams knew there was no way in hell this was a CFP contender.

The biggest question that everyone had was the quarterback position

No, that was what most of the dumbasses focused on, but one look at the team could have told them that this team had a LOT of problems. QB was only one of them, but just happened to be the most visible.

So why can't we just wait and see how it unfolds

Who has any other ideas? Is there another option?

support the team along the way without so much pissy bullshite?

Who's not supporting the team? You can know they aren't very good and still support them.

I really get the feeling that many people on this board will be unhappy if we win tomorrow.

That's because you're confusing what people want with what they think will happen. I can tell you with 100% certainty that we are going to elect a shitty, corrupt president in November. Do you think anybody actually WANTS that to happen?

Let the teacher help out...everybody's....the contraction for "everybody is"...on the more important matter...yes, I expect AU's best game to be put forward...but I don't think we have seen the best from Etling or LF yet...go Tigers, the LSU version...lol

So is the possibility of the earth opening up and swallowing both teams just before halftime of The Iron Bowl.

Like your scenario, I'd love to see it happen. I ain't holding my breath.

That Wisconsin loss really set us back. Would likely have to go undefeated from here in out, which is damn near impossible. Still think we can manage 10 wins, though.

So many things wrong with your post.

Biggest does not mean only. Stick to what was actually said.

There were some questions at OL, but with Pocic returning along with others, it was not our biggest concern. Depth on the defensive front was an issue, especially with injuries, but Valentine helped. Not too many "dumbasses" thought that we were solid at either, just that the quarterback issue was a bigger concern, which turned out to be correct.

People were hoping special teams would be better. Conventional wisdom was that it wouldn't be worse since average for Miles over the years suggested that special teams should be better than the terrible play last season, which it has.

OL is getting better. Defense is better. Special teams are better. QB is better. The playbook appears to be more open with more passing and less predictable cloud of dust runs over and over. So please explain to all of us dumbasses exactly are we missing except for the omniscient wisdom some on this board seem to have that Miles is incapable of winning no matter what you're seeing on the field each week.

TALENT + COACHING + COMPETITION = WIN/LOSS
LSU TALENT + LES MILES COACHING + OPPONENT = WIN/LOSS

Fill in the variable named OPPONENT and you will have a good idea if LSU will WIN or LOSE.

Everyone has realized that Les did not change the offense to give LSU an opportunity to succeed. Les has lost the "WANT" to win. He can not claim to want to win and keep the same offense. There are other lesser talented offenses that score more points than LSU when playing against the same teams.
NO MORE EXCUSES!!!

LSU will score more points when they confuse the defense, such as, using more 3 and 4 WR sets. Mix in a 4 WR set and put LF out as a WR for the 5th WR.
If LSU can't pass block very well because they haven't practiced it much, then that's coaching, poor planning, and learning nothing from last year.

All these Oline haters and even though this group started the year with half the starters banged up they still haven't given up a sack and averaging 4.5 yards p/carry. The UW game they were playing hurt and I know they struggled some but some of it was Harris fleeing the pocket before he had to and showing little awareness. True test for em this week.

If we win big tomm and etling puts up big numbers the miles talk will subside for now and I will start to believe that this team can contend in the west. Any win at JHS is a good win even though auburns down but I need to see all 3 phases play well and Lsu win a 28-10 type of game.

What the frick does this even mean? Is this supposed to be quantitative?

It's really too bad all the geniuses on this site aren't on the coaching staff. We'd be kicking arse for sure.

This will be a Zack Mettenberger kind of season where we lose 3 maybe 4 games and have an entertaining season at QB. Have we settled into being Georgia?

Although possible to win out,not likely. But the rant has plenty of chicken littles who still have their panties twisted from Wisconsin.
