No it cannot be moved. If you moved it it would be all off. Every helmet is measured when the decals are done every week. They all fall in the same place. And yes the holes are for air flow and keeping the players cool

Sometimes for Texas the air vent looks like it's extending the horn downward, and I've taken a second to realize it's not part of the decal. LSU's helmets have always looks solid to me, vents and all.

I've always liked our helmets. They have a cool logo with the tiger and the LSU. How many other helmets have both on them and they look good together.

Why not have the best team AND the best helmets.
And i completely agree with hating the shoulder stripes. They looked great in the 70s, but jerseys are now so tight that the shoulder stripes look downright silly. They look like suspenders.
If we want to keep them, we could move them more over the arm like Nebraska, or instead use a crecent shaped shoulder accent, like USC.

Knowing LSU, it probably would have taken a 12 person committee $3 million and 8 months to study and recommend a better decal layout. And it still would have sucked worse.

The shite job on the lettering annoys me too, but not as much as our yellow uniforms. It's purple and gold, not purple and yellow. Notre damn knows what gold looks like, therefore I have them a 3 point favorite.
