It's a win if Ben attacks the rim that last possesion. But it's a learning experience that I fully expect to make them grow. This team is a serious contender for the National Title and I'm super excited for this season.

Agreed. We are also down two starters right now. We'll be fine. This team is young and this is a great teaching moment.

I'm a chronic posi-tiger, but I'm not optimistic on b-ball with JJ at the helm.

We are not a contender for the NC. That might change once victor arrives, but we have to wait and see.

Exactly. The team played hard all night. Down 10 to start and down 8 late in second half and a chance to win. Good things ahead for this team.

We've got a lot of potential. With Hornsby and Victor we'll be pressing even more. Poor three point shooting really hurt tonight. I'm not worried about this team at all based on this game.

It sucks to lose this game but damn! Simmons and Co are gonna wreck shop soon as the gel a little more! This team is the real deal as long as they continue to grow.

It is going to be a really fun and really entertaining season. Simmons is so great. We get to have the joy of watching a true superstar play for the Tigers. Just enjoy it.

Agree, hopeful that game taught them that they have to bring it from the start. They came out flat, and Blakney had his worst game, and kept trying to shoot himself out of it to no avail. I like their fight in the last few minutes, but without any interior defense, it's going to be a long season, cause our backcourt having to help, it opens up their 3's...hope Victor can make a difference.

I tend to agree. If the team learns from this loss and makes improvement, that will outweigh the +1 in the L column.

I don't care if Belmont beat them by 40. Marquette has some damn good players and coach. It's college basketball. Any team can win on any given night. It's hard to not be excited about the potential of these Tigers.

this is something to work on and build upon no doubt

they showed a lot to get back to that position.

need to handle that final drive better.

i would call the timeout every time
