Even if we win out LSU is not making the playoffs

Does anybody believe that we would be in the final four? I don't. A one loss Bama team would be selected over us because they would still be thought of as the best team in the country. There are other 1 loss teams that the idiots in charge would pick over us.
If we did somehow make it, I'm sure that Bama would be in it as well. Would be crazy to see LSU and Bama play for the title again. Wishful thinking, I know.
Realistically, we prob go 9-3 and play in the Outback or Taxslayer Bowl vs teams like Mich St and Clemson. An Orange Bowl bid would be nice but the SECCG loser will probably end up there.

Very unlikely to win out. But even if we did it would be very unlikely to make the playoff, in my opinion. Our 2 losses weren’t like our 2 losses in 2007 that we’re both against SEC teams that went overtime. We didn’t even compete against MS State and lost to Troy.

If they win out against a top ranked Bama and a top ranked UGA, they’d have a strong case.

If we win out there is a legitimate chance we'll only have two wins over a ranked team all year. Combine that with our 2 bad losses and not picking LSU is pretty fair.

in the unlikely event we win out which includes beating Georgia for the SEC title we will be in the playoffs. I would say there is about a 15% chance of that happening.

An impartial 3rd party, fivethirtyeight.com, gives us a 74% chance to be in the playoffs IF we win out. Now, they only give us a 2% chance to win out...
So I think it is short-sided and pessimistic to say "we won't be in bc Troy", when those without a vested interest in the outcome say different.

Not all, there are a certain few irrational delusionists that seem to think it will happen. Guess we can expect to see all the top 15 teams lose a lot next month.

Right. It's unlikely that we win out but if we do we have a pretty decent shot.

If we win out I could honestly care less about the playoffs. Defeating Bama this year would mean more imo.

if LSU beats Bama and Georgia, we will definitely go to the CFP as will either Bama or Ga. Pac 12 and Big 12 are not getting any teams in and ACC is not even a sure thing.

LSU would have the worst two losses of any top 4 team in history, yet people think we're being negative unless we say they're in at 11-2.

I don’t believe we get a pass on losing to Troy and getting embarrassed by State. One or the other yes, but not both. If we would have lost to Troy and at least showed up to play State then yes. But crazier things have happened and I’d love for us to win out and make the playoff.

We'll see. The SEC is currently the 4th best conference in the computer rankings according to Colley Matrix Composite, behind the ACC, Pac 12, and Big 10.
