He made it look like he was pressured an extra 10 times by leaving the pocket before it actually collapsed

I've been saying this since the Bama game last year. If he feels pressure he doesn't stay in the pocket and throw anyway knowing he's going to get hit like a Tom Brady. Once he gets spooked he ducks and runs to quickly.

At times he ran into pressure that would NOT have gotten him if he'd stayed in the pocket.

That being said the entire team sucked, not just him. He didn't lose the game for us by himself, but he was/is a part of the problem.

Etling skill set kinda does limit what plays we can and can not call in fairness.

I'm not blasting Etling when I say that but it is the truth.

Because the 1st two weeks we ran between the tackles power football, with deep play action.

The same exact shite we did the past 5 years. And we look great because we manhandled our opponent.

I said we didnt do anything materially different besides pre-snap, and was called a buffoon

I said unless we run a different offense in SEC play, we would struggle again against teams with similar talent level. I was again called a buffoon

Well, when we played a team that could match us somewhat on talent and not get blown off the ball, we once again couldnt do shite because we have yet yo develop an in rhythm intermediate passing game that exposes the middle of the field.

We did other things too, unless you're calling 10-15 yards "deep."

No.

Well, that happens when you say dumb things.

The offense didn't execute at all last game. Play calling was only one piece of that puzzle. You're so worried about vindicating yourself, and I' don't really see why.

I'm not squirming. You were still stupid the past two weeks, and I still don't think you've been vindicated.

But here's your cookie I guess.

If the ball is in the air for 10-15 yards then yes I am not talking about that.

I want to see simply quick passing plays over the middle where the ball travels less than 10 yards, with the wr in space with room to run.

Those are plays that are easy completions that allow for big yards, all while opening up your running game

There are so many college programs that do this with ease, yet it seems impossible for LSU over the years

You can think all of that while still acknowledging we did things differently than over the last 5 years.

2 different causes can have the same effect. Doesn't mean they are the same thing.

The truth is we didn't do anything different last night. Pre snap was a bunch of fluff that people are pointing too.

We simply ran the ball 76% of plays(57 runs to 18 passes). 76%!! And most of them simple hand offs between the tackles Les offense would have dominated just the same Now saying that, I don't blame Canada.

We manhandled them so much why the heck would you change?

quote:

We ran the ball between the tackles up their fricking arse all night We had our tacklers and guards squeezed tight on the line It was 100% power football through their defense

And just like I said in that thread, there is more to it than just the ratio.

But again, have your cookie. Or keep going on. Your choice.

I followed it up by saying if we run the same sets and offense from BYU, we would have the same struggle against good teams just like les. And people like you and others said I was wrong because the run looks and motion were so much different and more confusing to the defense.

So I followed it up by saying if Canada runs the same offense in the SEC, the upcoming melt would be real.

Just admit, you fell for the fluff.

Canadas offense is power football. It will continue to struggle when we cant smnash it between the tackles

I didn't fall for anything. I simply said I didn't agree that it was the same as the Les offense. I stand by that, and most people would agree I think.

Just because the changed offense resulted in a similar result does not make it the same offense.

So you dont agree it is majority between the tackles power football that depends heavily on having success between the tackles? That then counts on deep play action without utilizing the middle of the field passing game?

I could almost argue Canadas offense is more conservative and 1960s offense than miles actually There are times we look like we are about to run the fricking veer with as tight as our tackles and tight ends are
