Etling was good enough to win every game other than against Bama. Even that game could've finished differently. Their touchdown drive shouldn't have even happened and we had a fg blocked which rarely happens and a no call safety. We dominated Florida between the 20s. Wisconsin and Auburn were complete flukes.

You mean because the LSU defense was stopping anybody but TAMU from scoring TDs? I've mentioned this several times even with the games and stats lined up side by side, but Etling's 2016 season went about the same as Harris's did the year before with just better short throw accuracy.

I'd rather play one of the younger QBs this year to get him experienced for next season, than to watch Etling be mediocre for 13 games.

Lindsey Scott. Best talent and potential at the position. He MUST see early playing time.

"Stunk in last years spring game too"

You sure?

I thought he hit like 70% of his passes and had 3 TDs.

That's the problem. DE probably is our best QB at this time.

Who is panicing? Realizing that DE is lost in the pocket as a fifth year senior is a concern. If you need confirmation of that look at CEO's post game comments. Coaches put the shot across DE's bow and pretty much laid the groundwork for making a change.

He's better than McMillan. The two incoming freshen are going to redshirt.

So the only other option is Lindsey Scott

I was there. His deep pass to Chark down the right hash was perfection.

That was more to do with Chark going to get it with a double team on him. Not that it shouldn't have, but the ball had a lot of air under it. However, it is too damned early to tell anything from this scrimmage with respect to Etling's continued growth and effectiveness behind center.

What does somewhat concern me is the clear lack of depth at OL. With all starters, there may not be a huge problem, but Guice was not able to get to the second level much with the white OL and as has been stated, the purple OL nearly killed the QB depth chart.

They might be talking about who is going to start at QB at LSU for a long time. No QB established himself in the spring game.
