ESPN gives more love to LSU than tigerdroppings does.

All very good, worthwhile points. I can respect that.

I don't post on this board very often, I mainly stick to the More Sports Board, and the LSU Recruiting Board (mainly due to the insane amount of idiots on this board), but I do think that this game has pretty big implications for LSU as well.

1) A win can really give LSU some momentum on the recruiting trail going into the period between the end of Bowl Season and National Signing Day.

2) LSU can make it four straight 10-win seasons with a victory over Iowa.

3) I agree with your point that preparing for Iowa will better prepare LSU for Wisconsin to start next season.

4) This is an opportunity for Anthony Jennings to really make a statement that he is the future for LSU at QB.

5) A win will make the offseason much less insufferable as it has been the last two years.

But welcome I hope that more Iowa posters start joining and contributing to this site.

I honestly don't feel that Clemson was a matchup issue. I watched highlights of that game the other day and completely forgot how much LSU dominated the Clemson offense for basically 3.5 quarters. They let it get away at the end, Clemson had to convert a 4th and 16 in backed up in their own territory on that final game winning drive. There is no good reason LSU should have let that one slip away. If they had Cameron a year ago I think they dominate Clemson.

I've definitely enjoyed some of the Iowa guys posts and believe that the Hawkeyes will play a tough game. I will stick to my prediction of this game hinging on our defense's ability to play consistent ball. If Iowa is allowed to make big plays then LSU will be in for a fight.

My prediction is an LSU victory by more than 14 pts though.

And no, ESPN has nothing against LSU and they kissed our asses in 2011 all the way into our egg laying fest in the rematch that should not have been.

We will run the ball every play Iowa will load the box. We are super easy to gameplan for. You think les ran it a lot before watch this. Every play will be a handoff for 2.8 yards

I think its reasonable to predict Iowa. LSU has a new QB and a defense that couldn't stop Ark or anyone else except aTm.

I can be a neggatiger with the best of them. You can book this, our tigers will not lose to the hawkI's. Even with Jennings a freshman at QB, LSU is the best team that the chickenhawks will face. An 8-4 season is a great season for them. Mark it down Tigers win…..

I highly doubt this. Les is in the middle of the biggest recruiting class that he has ever had and he will allow AJ to look as good as AJ is capable of looking. Iowa is not the kind of team that will force Les to abandon the passing game at all.

Simply put, Iowa will not be able to contain our receivers no matter what they do so they will most likely just go for the penetration into the backfield to stop the run and keep pressure on our TF QB in hopes that he won't be able to get anything going. This will make AJ look very good.

JMO but watch what will happen when they try to play coverage without bringing pressure. AJ will kill them or our RBs will.

We either blow then out or they win a close one. It all depends if we show up to play or not. If we show up like we did against Ole Miss, they will rip our hearts out and shite down our neck.

This is as accurate a prediction that can made for an LSU team. If we show up we win big. If Les doesn't prepare them or the kids don't care we lose a close one.

I cant see Iowa getting the prediction, they are at a complete disadvantage with the fact there is very little film to prepare for Jennings and not knowing exactly how CLM will utilize him. Even if Jennings doesnt have a great game, we have a backfield that can carry the bulk of the load

Retarded, troll, or retarded troll?

There were some games this season where LSU didn't run enough to keep the inexperienced D on the sideline.

ESPN hates LSU -- Predicts Iowa victory

Look for $$$ calls in the game . I do not think it will be a low scoring game .My bet is 60+ points in the game .I look for LSU to have a Texas A&M type of a game .LSU 42 Iowa 21
One thing in our favor , no one ESPN or us as LSU fans really know what Anthony Jennings (AJ) will do. If he gets protection he may make Tim Tebow look like a bench warmer .If not he will be more like JJ fun to watch but can't win the big games .I am looking for AJ to lead LSU to a 12 win season starting with the outback bowl.In my mind winning the SEC Championship is the most important thing a team can do. It is just gravy on the rice to win the Nationasl Championship. Yes I like gravey on my rice , but , The Braggin Rights Bowl is so much more important , I get to look at my SEC family with just a bit of a smile .

You kids just don't understand how stupid this looks.

We said that last time, when we had Saban coaching our team, and lost. When you say that and lose, people don't take you seriously when you say it again. "Oh but this time is different!" It always is - look at the Peach Bowl last year.

So I wish the younger folks would control themselves and not make predictions that could very easily make us all look foolish.

This game is game between two good teams that could go either way. I would think that ALL Tiger fans could appreciate this by now.

Do you think the JR's last year were at much risk of changing their stock?

Most of them had very good years and were on a highly touted unit. This years underclassmen, not so much.

But hey, you guys know everything so there's no chance the underclassmen think they have something to prove.

Jesus, c'mon guys, Juniors are NOT "underclassmen", they are UPPERclassmen.

That remains a question...we know they can blow out Iowa, but again, like you say- if they are motivated and ready to play a full 60 minutes!

The guy that made that prediction (Mark Schlabach) went 1-3 yesterday with the win being the Wash St. debacle in the last 3 minutes.

Not taking his prediction too seriously!
