It's all about PR and money.
The Pac-10 -- soon to officially become the Pac-12 -- has agreed to a 12-year television contract with ESPN and Fox that will more than triple its media rights fees and be the most valuable for any conference in college sports.
The contract, which will begin with the 2012-13 season, will be worth more than $225 million per year -- or $2.7 billion over the life of the deal, Sports Business Daily and The Associated Press reported on Tuesday.

yeah, it can't be because someone thinks Oregon is a good team or anything. How can they think that a team that went 12-1 to the BCS CG 2 years ago and 12-2 last year is good?

By soon do you mean last year?

What SEC oline? The oline for LSU last year was probably the 4th best oline we saw. I would rank the units in the following order: Wisconsin, USC, Stanford and LSU.
You lost to SC by 3, LSU by 13 (including a late garbage TD for you), yet SC's line was better than ours?

Amazing seeing how no games have been played yet

I sure hope so. Another 13-1 year isn't going to cut it.

LSU's scoreline was 10 pts. better than USC's because our D was worn out at the end, and LSU had great special teams and defense. The O line for SC giving Barkley the time he needed to find Woods and Lee was probably much more critical in slicing through Oregon's secondary than LSU's was.
