UCSw losing to Oregon in the conf champ game is premised upon USCw not having depth to deal with injuries.

could be. I certainly hope so, as I wish only travail for USCw and the ghosts of Pete, Bush, and McKnight. Its ideal that Kiffin is the coach there, as he takes some heat for his own cheer-hooker recruiting, in a karmic way.

I don't think anyone is saying Oregon won't be better or have a good team, but BCS Title game worthy? Until you guys field a defense that can stop somebody, about all you can clamor for is the occasional PAC-12 title.

This year's defense will.

Oregon isnt made to beat us. We have speed to match theirs on defense. They arent big enough to stop us on offense. We are perfectly designed to beat them. The only team designed to beat us is Bama(last year) TIFWIW

This year's Bama team is just as big and faster than last year.

It won't stop an SEC O-Line.

I also don't see how that's a good prediction. I know Oregon will still be good, but they, like LSU, have QB issues. Also, Oregon will most likely have to play USC twice, which will be tough for anybody. Oregon is good, but USC twice will do them in. Also, LSU has to get past Bama first. I didn't think their defense would be good after losing Barron, Upshaw, etc., but they're going to be tough to beat.

I don't know why that ESPN analyst didn't have LSU winning the West, though. They have the defense and I think the offense to be a good bet.

What SEC oline? The oline for LSU last year was probably the 4th best oline we saw. I would rank the units in the following order: Wisconsin, USC, Stanford and LSU.

Oregon held there own for the first half in the cowboy classic down a lot of numbers. Oregon will be twice as good next year in the defensive front seven and way deeper. We ran with 8 guys on the DL that weren't redshirting or walk ons. This year Oregon will be running with 12, which will help immensely in the 2nd half. Not to mention that we replaced 5/7 from the year before and this year's front 7 will have 5/7 returning.

This. I don't see a team from the Pac - 12 making the NCG.

imo Oregon is in for a down year. I think they are going to be very overrated. Losing James and Thomas is going to hurt

P

Oregon will keep winning. They will miss James but Chip hasn't failed, yet, to have a qb play well. The QB position will be in good hands. The defense will be better than last year considerably.

Eta...to say Oregon over LSU is nonsense btw.

Maybe they are predicating their prediction on LSU's implosion in the last BCS. No prep, stubborness, inept coaching.

This year Bama and LSU will have the best O-Lines, and they're in the SEC. They would rape your defense.
