The rest of the team was playin so damn good we didn't need to depend on Lee.

So Lee had nothing to do with the 8-0 start? He was the top-rated QB in the SEC.

Lee had the easiest frickin job in the world and when the team finally needed him he crumbled in the Bama game.

He had one bad game last season...one.

He deserved better than what he got from Miles.

Jefferson fricking stunk it up in the BCSCG worse than Lee ever did.

I always said that Lee and Jefferson were very under rated and under appreciated by LSU fans. This team would be much better right now if either of those two were still here.

I think both of them could have been better if they had been "developed" at all, something we do not have a clue as to how to do .
Our QBs "raise" themselves as it were.

ironic...last year fans were saying Mett was clearly better than Lee/Jefferson and wasn't given a chance because of Miles playing favorites...Mett would have won the 1/9 game but Les stuck with JJ, now JJ would have won the Florida game that Mett didn't

I love this place!!!

I don't think opinions on this site are collective.

I also don't think JJ or JL would be very successful with this offense.

I partially blacked out at half. How many passes did we drop total. OBJ doesn't fumble and we are prolly not having this convo

Lee, well I guess he isn't as good as we thought he could be

Could not disagree more. Had a terrible first year, but we didn't exactly give him much to work with (poor defense, not much of a running game and an O-line that was questionable at best).

He looked pretty good coming off the bench to lead a come from behind drive on the road at UF in 2010. He looked pretty good coming off the bench to lead a come from behind drive against UT in 2010 (despite the fact that Les and JJ almost screwed it up at the goal line). He looked damn good for the first 8 games last season.

It is ashame the coach that talked him into not transferring refused to give him the playing time that earned in 2010 and 2011. His overall career stats are pretty solid, would have been nice to see him develop as the full time starter in 2010 and 2011.

No, we probably would. Scoring 13 points and 1 TD is nothing too awesome to brag about.

Well, it has become awesome I guess.

I agree with you. My point was more about showing how the QBs come and go and struggle in this system.

At some point, its not the players.

I agree, QB development has been a major problem for Miles.

Don't even get me started on the apology owed to Russell Shepard.

Not saying that. Just saying their offensive philosophy changes and maybe our D makes a big play. Florida Defense is legit. 13 could won. Or at least have us in position to win at end.

and he was just as bad in the SECCG - our special teams, defense and running game finally put UGA away.

Not counting the fumble there were 4 drops in drive killing and "possible" game changing situations..... The drops are bad enough, but the timing of the drops is what really kills things.

the recievers really are killing us this year. Not just the recievers though, the backs can't catch either.

Lee got a lot of praise until the Bama game. Then following 1/9, Lee was rolled into many of the conversations about the poor play of JJ. It is as if the first half of the season never happened.

You know, the first half of last season was perhaps the best ever in Tiger football history.

Lee was great when there was no pressure. Jefferson was better in the pressure cooker, thus the reason he was playing at the end of the season. Either would be better than Mett right now, but Mett will be better than either before it is all over with.
