Those familiar with the search at USC say the school’s decision-makers, including athletic director Pat Haden, are interested in the 50-year-old Fisher.

Fisher does have a $5 million buyout, and it’s still fair to wonder if he would leave FSU. Strife with the school’s administration persisted early in his tenure, but many of those issues have been worked through. Fisher is thought to be in a better place than he was two or three years ago.

As for Miles and LSU, it is looking rather bleak in the wake of the program’s first three-game losing streak since 1999. The momentum for change is growing, those close to the program indicated on Saturday.

Some said it is to the point that this week’s result against Texas A&M might not even matter. What, really, is the difference between 8-3 and 7-4? LSU, now 4-3 this season in SEC play, is 13-10 in the league since the 2012 season.

If Miles stays who the hell would take on a DC/OC position knowing there's a good chance they'll only be there one year if a new staff comes in?

If he was staying, why does he have to address the team Monday about the coaching situation?

If Les stays, we are going to be forced to stick with Cam another year. Make him sign a reduced salary one year deal or tell him to GTFO. There's no point in even trying to hire another OC if Les stays.

Am I the only one that thinks its ridiculous IF Les' coaching tenure at LSU rides on the A&M game? ???

I can't believe Pat Haden is still there.

No. I think he should be fired already.

It just sounds dumb after all the frick-ups and shite-shows that the A&M game of ALL games, in a season that LSU is playing for nothing, somehow matters.

The board has made their decision. Execute order 66.

Even worse than that, you will be stuck with your current DC another season. Prayers sent.

It's not that the A&M game matters, it's likely to do with his contract

It's a bad year for hiring a coach Bc USC, Miami, and SCe are looking, among others

There's no way that this is the case. Because if you're having this conversation, you're already headed down that path and there's no way in hell you're putting the decision in the hands of 19 year old kids in the last game of the year...or even next year for that matter. Miles fatigue has become insurmountable at this point and all of the momentum is in that direction. Shoot it in the head and move on.
