Seriously? You have too much free time if this is what bothers you.
Baseball is a funny sport at every level and teams / players will do crazy things in the name of a "rally".
Case in point: 2011 St. Louis Cardinals had their "rally squirrel" and went on to win the World Series in a very dramatic way. Game six was the stuff of legends; at least if you were a Cardinals fan.
Cardinals never stopped being the Cardinals in spite of a squirrel and the Tigers will be the Tigers regardless of a possum.

This is a nice place to live. CBS talks about the possum - not to compliment La. but to drive home their opinion about Louisiana and the South.
We're polite. We have a beautiful state with a lot of outdoor activities. We have great food.
Why not focus on our good points?
