Talent level is never in question. How you capitalize on that talent is suspect - evidenced by last year's national rankings, 5-year bowl performances and this year's pre-season polls.

Queue the 10-Win Kool-Aid drinkers.

In the Miles Era we are 6-3 against them.

Yeah we lost to them in 3OT and still won the BCSNCG, once when we had our worst football team in the last 10 years when we had a true freshman starting at QB and once when they were the 12th ranked team in the nation. We also beat them when they were the 3rd ranked team and the 5th ranked team during that same time span. THAT SUCKS!11!

Our Avg MOV in the wins is 5 points.

What difference does this make?

However, we have only covered the spread 1 time.

This literally has absolutely nothing to do with anything.

I Agree totally , you know we sound like Alabama fans who constantly bragging about their university.

It really shows us as pompous. And that's one thing I dislike about Notre Dame Alabama Ohio St , USC and Texas!
I don't want LSU lumped up with this program's outside of being winners.

Get off this university u statements and let's show our worth on the Scoreboard. Because that's what Really matters anyway !!

Its the middle of June with nothing but Soccer and Major League Baseball going on.

What do you expect to talk about during the off season?

Arkansas is barely over .500 in that time. To put our wins in perspective:

in 2005 we squeeked out a 2 point win at home against a team who was 2-6 in conference.

in 2009 we won by 3 at home against a team who was 3-5 in conference.

in 2012 we won by a td against a 2-6 sec team

last year we won by 4 at home against a team that was 24 point underdogs and was finished 0-8 in conference.

Yes, we have a winning record against them, but the OP is right that we continually struggle against them. They are an inferior team. We shouldn't win every game by 28 points, but in 9 years, with their record and ours, you would think we could win 1 by 28.

2011 #1 LSU vs. #3 Arkansas

LSU 41 - Arky 17

not close enough for you?

So if we had won in 2011 by 28 instead of 24 you would be happy?

I would bring up 2011, but we only won by 24. We suck. :(

I find it funny that with the style of football that Miles loves to play that the potential exists that his only NC as a coach may be with Gary Crowton, the anti-Miles mindset, as his OC.

I know I'm going to get hammered for this but I just got to put it out there.

Every week and sometimes multiple times a week, I see LSU is RBU, LSU is DBU, LSU is DLU, ETC.

I feel this makes us look bad, or specifically our coach look bad. I also see best OC and DC. we obviously have more talent than anyone and have great coaching, why aren't we getting the results that Bama is getting? Why do we consistently fall short of expectations? Why do we lose to Ole Miss? Why do we struggle against Arkansas?

How about just say LSU is a good feeder to the NFL and be done with it? Every time I see the new thread or headline on the home page I cringe.

I can't wait for the bama obsessed comments, but they are the college football standard bearers.

First of all, this was a statement made by ESPN. All this means is LSU has successfully prepared quality NFL players at a higher rate than most other teams. It means the system LSU uses to train their players is better in that respect. It's not about championships, but rather how what LSU does with it's players translates to the NFL.

I believe the comment that set the bar at 28 points was not made by me. I was only answering to that point.

If you can't admit that while we've been beating arkansas they for some unknown reason give us problems even when they have shitty teams you're not being honest. If you really look at the results and say "oh we don't struggle with them" I don't think you're capable of having a real debate. You're the problem with the rant. You're what gives it a bad name. I'm not saying anything disparaging towards our coach or our team - just pointing out that the OP is right in his assessment that we unexplainably struggle against Arkansas.

VermilionTiger, This guy gets it.

Not to mention this is the rant. If we all had the same opinion and were always happy about the current status of LSU Sports, would there even be TD?
