Auburn/Alabama/Georgia---CFP/NY6 Bowl
South Carolina---Citrus
LSU---Outback
Mississippi State---Tax Slayer Bowl (Gator)
Missouri---Liberty Bowl
Kentucky---Music City
Texas A&M---Texas

LSU will not be ranked high enough to make it to the Cotton Bowl. The loser of the SECCG will be in the Peach Bowl. Alabama and the winner of the SECCG will make the CFP.

South Carolina will go to the Citrus Bowl, even with an 8-4 record. LSU fans may be outraged, but it's unlikely the Citrus picks LSU for a second straight year. The last time the Citrus chose a team two years in a row was Tennessee, in 1995 and 1996.

The Outback Bowl does not get to choose, (the SEC does), but the Outback is considered the highest of the "six shitty remaining SEC Bowls," and so it would make sense that the highest ranked team of the remaining bowl eligible teams would make it to the Outback Bowl, and that would be 9-3 LSU.

I hope that Tiger fans embrace the Outback Bowl and travel in droves, especially with the Saints playing in Tampa on Dec 31, the day before the Outback Bowl.

Geaux Tigers.

They need a good match up to get a lot of fans to travel

Holding out hope that Auburn demolishes UGA again. I believe that leaves the door open for LSU to the Peach. LSU's victory over Auburn could begin to carry alot of weight.

If it’s the Outback bowl, it had better be against Michigan.

That’s the Outback’s best chance at drawing a huge LSU crowd.

No doubt about it.

LSU vs Michigan? LSU would sell its allotment and then some.

LSU vs Michigan State? I still believe LSU will sell out its allotment, but will the fans show?

I'm thinking we will have the best possible turnout because of the Saints vs Bucs game a day before.

If the game is in Tampa, I'll make the drive.

If the Citrus can arrange a LSU/Michigan match up they would take LSU for two straight years in a heartbeat....

According to you, LSU was a "lock" for the Texas Bowl.

You even named Gordy Rush as a source, which was probably a fabrication on your part.

You lose all credibility.

I like the Citrus Bowl and I like Orlando, but the field looks so shitty now.

It used to look great, but now it looks like a high school field.

Compare the 2011 Capital One Citrus Bowl to the 2016 BWW Citrus Bowl and tell me why one looks like the Rose Bowl and the other looks like the Champs Sports Bowl.

2011 Cap One Bowl

2016 B-Dub's Citrus Bowl

Outback?

Won't that mean we all get a free blooming onion if we win?

Or was it coconut shrimp?

I don't know if beating a 8-4 Michigan team is a big deal in a bowl game. I'd rather face Michigan in the playoffs or NY6 bowl.

IIRC they were giving away coupons for both, but we got so hammered in the rain tailgating at 8 am for the Iowa game that i can't remember.

Not necessarily, generically-named TD poster. The only conference that's locked into the Orange Bowl is the ACC. The ACC's highest available team will go (Clemson/Miami), but their opponent can either come from the SEC or the Big Ten, just depending on who the committee likes more.

If Alabama doesn't make the playoffs, they'll go to the Orange Bowl to face the Clemson/Miami loser.

Actually, there is a very good chance the Citrus takes USCe at 8-4. One of their losses is to Clemson, so USCe's record is very comparable to 9-3 LSU.

The biggest mark against USCe is that they are unranked, and the Citrus has a long history of matching up ranked opponents.

I wouldn't say the Cotton is not a possibility.

* Winner of Auburn/Georgia - CFP
* If Wisconsin beats OSU, Oklahoma beats TCU, and Clemson beats Miami, then Bama's out of the CFP.
If that scenario plays out:
* Bama to Orange Bowl, which is committed to take the highest ranked SEC or BIG 10 team against ACC team. (Bama vs. Miami)
Then they slot the remaining team in Peach, Fiesta, and Cotton.
* Peach - Georgia/Auburn loser vs. OSU
* Fiesta - USC (assuming they beat Stanford) vs. Penn St.
* Cotton - Potential teams (LSU 9-3, TCU 10-3, Washington 10-2, Michigan St. 9-3, Washington St. 9-3, UCF 11-0, Okla. St. 9-3)

LSU owns Jerry World. Would be a money maker for the Cotton Bowl and hotel/restaurant industry, which is why they have it. TCU would be a loser. Nobody would come in for the game since they all live there.
