no emphasis is put on defense or FT shooting, and we can't score when we are forced to play in the half court.

Our basketball coaching staff seems to lack basketball education.

The team is young, just like the football team. Haha.

There is no coherent offensive system being run. It's basically pure iso all the time with hardly any ball screens much less back screens. Nobody respects the penetrate when we can't knock down the shot when Simmons kicks to a wide open shooter at the break.

It really is amazing how long we've been dealing with this.

Losing Martin & Mickey is too much for one player to overcome period.

not enough motion on offense, to many folks standing around.

JJ is a laughing stock among his peer coaches and no one is threatened by his strategic in game prowess or lack thereof

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that about 90% of what they're supposed to be doing out there?

We had no defense in NY so you would think they would have worked on it. Dale brown was a defense fanatic if i remember correctly and johnney played for him so wtF is going on.

At least I'll have more room to spread out in the PMAC with everybody bolting.

FYI- I believe we had 4 or 5 losses in '05-'06 heading into SEC play. We also get KH and Victor back in a couple of weeks.

What do our assistant coaches get paid to do? I mean, I know one of them is the Godfather of Simmons and is the reason he is here, but what about the others? It's clear that JJ needs all the help he can get. Most of the time when I see him, he just stands there staring at the court in a daze The only thing I like that he does is press sometimes, but it's usually not enough.

Of course, it doesn't help that Blakeney went 0-9 with 1 point and has been about as cold as any player I've ever seen. Still, with LSU's length and all the talent they have, if they had a moving, functioning offense, they would be able to get plenty of easy shots (especially with a phenomenal passer like Simmons) and beat teams like this even on off nights.

Two of those loses were by two at ranked Ohio State and by 1 at #2 UConn. You knew that team was pretty good even in defeat after the loss at UConn.

This team has three losses already to three, at best, mediocre teams. They didn't even look like they belonged on the same court as the fricking College of Charleston. That wasn't just an issue of missing shots. It was a team that clearly had no organized plan on either side of the ball.
