Having watched a little of the Georgia game Saturday against Clemson, it is clear that the Georgia offense will be strong again this year. They have arguably the best QB and Tailback in the SEC in Murray and Gurley.

LSU offense should be able to move the ball and put up some points against Ga defense. The key will be how well LSU is prepared for what could be the best offense they face all year.

John Chavis will be earning his paycheck preparing for this game. At times the defense looked confused against TCU. It looked like guys were in position to make a play but were tentative for some reason.

I know it was the first game but team speed on defense is a step slower than last year. Losing so many to the NFL explains that. The defense will need to come together a lot between now and Georgia game if LSU has legitimate shot at upset in Athens.

Georgia might very well be 1-2 heading into the game with LSU on Sept 28th. They play SC at home this weekend then North Texas before facing Tigers in Athens. If Ga loses to SC, LSU could be in position to drive a nail into the Bulldogs. If Ga beats SC this weekend, Ga will be on course to win the East again and maintain Natty hopes.

This game is shaping up to the pivotal for both teams. Cant wait. Here are the results of last 7 meeting with Dawgs 3 of which were in SEC Ship game. LSU won the last meeting in Athens in 2009.

2011/12/03 LSU 42 - Georgia 10 W *SEC CH*
2009/10/03 LSU 20 - Georgia 13 W
2008/10/25 LSU 38 - Georgia 52 L
2005/12/03 LSU 14 - Georgia 34 L *SEC CH*
2004/10/02 LSU 16 - Georgia 45 L
2003/12/06 LSU 34 - Georgia 13 W *SEC CH*
2003/09/20 LSU 17 - Georgia 10 W

More worried about this one than any other game on the schedule, including Bama. UGA has a lot to prove after playing Clemson and nothing lSU can throw at them will be intimidating.

Their RBs are a big concern.

With Mitchell being out, that will give us a big advantage.

UGA lost their best receiver this weekend for the season, not sure who else they have. Running game will be super strong but not as productive if their passing game is not there.

I definitely think USCe can beat them this weekend.

they are a more traditional style of attack offensively than a tcu especially when they brought boykin in. we can play more base defense and hopefully our linebackers will be improved by then (i.e. welter)

Clowney may take Gurley out for the season. Next week will have a lot to say about our chances against Georgia.

This is big but Richt's strength is offense. He will maximize what he can out of the running game. Murray has other targets and you know the tight end on a Georgia team is always included in the offense.

Georgia is very good. Their experienced OL was less impressive than I previously thought. But they were on the road against a very good team. Game 1 at that.
The Clemson QB is incredible. No matter what the circumstance he always makes the right decision it seems. He has the uncanny ability to know right when to tuck it and run or when to slide and throw an accurate pass to the right receiver.
Losing to Clemson ' on the road' will just make them more focused and determined.
The Tigers will need to be at their best to get out of there with a W.

Agreed , GA is a good team with a lot of offense talent . It's crazy what happened to their star receiver . Never want to see anyone get hurt . But not our problem

i feel like uga learned alot from that game and will come back very strong. gurley is a monster and if they get goin they could easily make a title run. more worried about this game then the bama game..

I love playing UGA, I wish we played more often, but trying to stop Gurley is going to SUCK!

This is what everyone always says about Georgia. They are a good team but since Murray has been there, they are something like 25-2 against untangled opponents and 3-11 against ranked teams.

If they lose to USCe they'll quit. If they win that one, I suspect a really close game that turns on how much Mett has actually improved.

I don't disagree but I see it as a single issue. Let those young guys get another game or two under their belts and they'll be Chavisswarming the ball like always.

This. Will love to see us unleash on a drop back QB. 3 or 4 picks, and at least that many sacks.

If they lose to USCe this weekend and are 1-2 playing us, it's a make or break game for them. It was going to be tough no matter what but that would make it even more difficult.
