My point is that Flacco was an NFL 1st rd. pick before Cam ever started coaching him. To say that Mettenberger and Flacco are even close to being even talentwise prior to Cameron entering the picture is laughable. Mett will greatly benefit from Cameron, no doubt. But you cant say that Mett will go ahead of AJ, Manziel, Bridgewater b/c Cam is his coach. Those guys have good coaches too.
Jesus Christ man I never said that. I said they have similar styles. They clearly do. There is a lot t compare.
I did say that Mett has a more desirable skill set for the NFL than Manziel or AJ, and that's true.
If Cam can develop that, the way he clearly did with Flacco, I think he'll easily be taken ahead of AJ, and most likely Manziel too.
I just don't understand what you find so objectionable about that?

I will respectfully disagree with you.

Flacco is one of the more intriguing quarterback prospects of this draft. While he lacks the big name of some of the other highly ranked prospects, he possesses the prototypical combination of size and arm strength scouts are looking for.
Positives: Certainly looks the part. ... Tall, rangy frame with room to add additional mass. ... Prototype arm strength. ... Can make all of the NFL throws with ease. ... Adequate speed in his set up and delivery. ... Solid mechanics. ... Possesses an over-the-top delivery and good footwork. ... Showed significant improvement in terms of poise and accuracy as a senior. ... Consistent accuracy in the short- and medium-range passing, especially toward the sidelines. ... Improved accuracy deep. ... Learned to read defenses better as a senior. ... Made proper check-downs in second year in the Delaware offense rather than relying on his big arm to thread the needle. ... Has shown the ability to handle two different offensive schemes in making a successful transition from Pittsburgh to Delaware. ... Lacks foot quickness and pure speed to ever be a true scrambling threat, but is a strong runner -- especially as a QB sneak threat -- due to his toughness and size. ... Isn't a finished product, but shows the tools worthy of development. ... Hasn't missed a game due to injury in his collegiate career.
Negatives: Wasn't able to beat out Tyler Palko at Pittsburgh and only became a starter after transferring to lower level Delaware. ... Protected at Delaware with a strong running game. ... Improved feel in the pocket, but still hangs on to the ball too long and isn't particularly mobile. ... Took the majority of the snaps at Delaware in the shotgun, raising questions about his ability to make the transition to the typical QB-center exchange, especially considering his lack of foot quickness. ... Can slide up into the pocket to buy time, but isn't going to scare defenses with his scrambling ability. ... Tends to lock-on to his receivers.

This thread has gone to shite after the name Percy Harvin was brought up.

Dude, I dont know what to tell you. I said I respectfully disagree with you. If you think Mett is equally as talented (or even similarly) as Flacco, then thats your opinion to stick by. When Mett isnt the 28th overall pick, dont blame the coaches on wasting talent. Look, he will benefit from Cameron, but your expectations of Mett's talent are way too stout.

That's very surprising to me that they are that high.

I mean, I'm just respectfully disagreeing with you as well.
I never said Mett is going to be the 28th pick of the draft. CBSSports did.
My first post in this thread was in reply to your post that Mett will "certainly" be drafted behind Manziel and AJ:

Mett will certainly be behind Manziel, Aj Macarron
That really isn't true.
Not being a homer, because they would certainly be ahead of him now, but if Cam can develop him the way many of us believe he will, Mett has better NFL tools than both of those guys imo.
He has a lot of work to do, but he has a very similar skill set to Joe Flacco, who Cameron developed into a guy that is now the centerpiece of the Ravens offense and franchise, not to mention the highest paid player in the NFL.
If you look at Flacco's scouting report, noting that all of those comments were based on his performance at DII Delaware, I think Mett's performance in the SEC last year and in JUCO add up to him having the potential to improve a lot under a great OC like Cam Cameron.
If he does that, I don't think it's out of the the realm of possibility that he will be drafted ahead of AJ McCarron or Johnny Manziel, and possibly go in the first round.

Beckham reminds me a lot of Skyler Green. If he can get rid of the drops and get more consistent separation I think he will be fine.
However his size is going to limit his draft potential.
Just as it did Tavon Austin's?

Yeah, anyone comparing Percy Harvin to OBJ is grasping. They are completely different players
