Drone video LSU vs. Bama Tailgating 2014

A friend sent me this. One of his friends sent up a drone to video some tailgating around the stadium and hayfield this past Saturday. I'm sure some of you are in the video

That is awesome, my tailgate is in that video several times. When we saw it, we all were like we need one of those for next season.

Camera helicopters are creepy. Hate them.
So I have to live my whole life knowing some geek might have a camera hovering above me? It's fine for public things like tailgates and games, rest of the time they are crap.

That specific one is around $1,300.
To the OP -
You should let your friend know that someone who recorded a similar video using a drone at a campus in the Carolinas just got done with a lawsuit from the FFA.
Drone operators are considered to be hobbyists until you start flying low over congregations of people, flying over roadways, flying at heights of over 400 ft, etc.
So long as no one files a complain he should be good, I think the other guy may have buzzed a little too close to some older lady who reported it. FFA won't do anything until they have to investigate a complaint.

Honestly can't believe they let him fly that over crowds like that. Anything at all goes wrong with it someone gets hurt.
