I hardly posted in the game threads.

I'm pretty sure I showed up when they were doing well to eat my crow.

Just came back after my agreed self ban right after the supers brah.

Anyone who doesn't believe that this team could've just as easily missed the tourney is not being objective. Pitching was Omaha caliber. Nobody saw our bullpen being as good as they were this year and that was the x factor in us winning all of those 1 run SEC games. This lineup is terrible and PM knows the problem, but refuses to fix it.

Looking at the schedule this team could've just as easily loss the following games:

MSU friday night
ARKy sunday
UF Friday night (got lucky as frick the runner didn't tag up)
Ole Miss Friday night
UK friday night
Vandy friday night
USCe sunday
And this is not counting the 3 other 1 run games we won in SEC play. I know playing the what if game doesn't mean much, but when you win 10 SEC games by 1 run and 3 in extra innings, then you're really fortunate to be where you are.

Bullpen made all the difference in those games and a little bit of luck. TEam showed fight and that's always a great sign, but this team is not as talented as a team with LSU's facilities and history should be. That's really undeniable.

The issue is more along the lines of "how sincere is it? Or is it just people like Guillot and K lady attention whoring wanting to feel good about themselves?"

Jesus, let it go.

I could care less what someone’s motivation for being nice is. That is so not the issue. What seems to be the issue is your third grade jealousy of anyone who acts differently than you or has any sort of “specialness” as a fan. (I’m agnostic on the K Lady – I don’t care either way, and she’s not hurting anybody). Internet tough guys are just petrified of people being nice to one another it seems. Someone was classy in order to feel good about themselves? Holy crap! What an a-hole!

Do y’all listen to what your argument is?

See, I don't think it's classy as much as it is bandwagoning.

It's kind of like people thought, "I went here to celebrate a team winning, and by golly I am gonna celebrate Stony Brook winning since my team lost."

That's like if LSU would've lost to Troy in 08. Would our fans have felt to be so classy to the underdog then?

A quick search of your posting history proves differently.

Irrelevant. All one run games could have gone the other way, including the one run games LSU lost.

But as Jim Mora said, "coulda', woulda', shoulda' don't mean shite."

Sure, but there were double the amount of 1 run games we won than we lost.

Plus, if you can't admit that this team is very fortunate to even reach a super with the talent they have, then you're either not very baseball savvy or just plain dumb.

Which is one benchmark of a good team. They win more one run games than they lose. For you to try to turn it into a negative is very revealing about you more than it is about the team.

So you admit that only because Mainieri and the coaches did a hellava' coaching job was LSU able to win the SEC and be awarded a top 7 national seed?

Fantastic article. I'd never heard of Glanville before this series. I don't follow MLB. I was really impressed with his technical insight to the game as he did the color commentary, and I'm blown away by his writing. I hope to hear more from him in the future.

Agreed. Anyone who thinks his experiences at the Box last weekend won't help LSU's reputation nationally is mistaken.

It's a benchmark of luck and a team that has a good fighting attitude.

Most teams split the amount of one run games in half that they win or lose. This team's sec record could've just as easily been 16-14 or 15-15.

I admit Alan Dunn + luck was the reason for this team's success. This team won despite Mainieri's and Sanchez' dumbassery.

Alan Dunn was the reason for our bullpen being great, and guess what is the most important factor in one run games? If PM can get his head out of his anal cavity and hire a similar hitting coach, imagine how good this team can be in 2013 and 2014.
