Didn't LSU win that game?

Now do the games LSU lost and tell me the plays.

Do you recall us running Fournette three times in a row to open the A&M game? I sure don't. In fact, I don't recall us running LF on 1st and 2nd down of any series until nearly the second quarter. Meanwhile, we actually threw it on 1st down 3 times in the first quarter alone.

What happened to Keehn? It turned the season around.

We only threw the ball 3 times on first down the entire game against MSU. Like I said, some things will never change. We threw the ball only 6 times on first down against Bama. Only reason we threw more is because we were losing pretty much the entire game.

Maybe Les was just more concerned with letting LF break the school rushing record than winning games......

Or maybe handing the ball to your best offensive weapon is a bad idea?

Oh yeah, by the way, Alabama's RB is probably going to win the Heisman and they are one of the worst teams in the country when it comes to "negative plays". Just sayin'

You obviously don't actually look at the playcalls

aTm first possession:

1st and 10 at LSU 41
(14:22 - 1st) Brandon Harris pass incomplete
2nd and 10 at LSU 41
(13:51 - 1st) Leonard Fournette run for 3 yds to the LSU 44
3rd and 7 at LSU 44
(13:15 - 1st) Brandon Harris pass complete to Leonard Fournette for 20 yds to the TexAM 36 for a 1ST down
1st and 10 at TA&M 36
(12:30 - 1st) Leonard Fournette run for 3 yds to the TexAM 33
2nd and 7 at TA&M 33
(12:19 - 1st) TEXAS A&M Penalty, Defensive Offside (Daylon Mack) to the TexAM 28
2nd and 2 at TA&M 28
(11:55 - 1st) Leonard Fournette run for 8 yds to the TexAM 20 for a 1ST down
1st and 10 at TA&M 20
(11:29 - 1st) Leonard Fournette run for 5 yds to the TexAM 15
2nd and 5 at TA&M 15
(11:07 - 1st) Brandon Harris pass incomplete to Malachi Dupre
3rd and 5 at TA&M 15
(11:03 - 1st) Brandon Harris pass incomplete
4th and 5 at TA&M 15
(10:58 - 1st) Trent Domingue 32 yd FG GOOD

Arkansas 1st possession:
1st and 10 at 50
11:58 - 1st) Brandon Harris pass incomplete to Malachi Dupre, broken up by Josh Liddell
2nd and 10 at 50
(11:53 - 1st) Leonard Fournette run for a loss of 4 yards to the LSU 46
play
3rd and 14 at LSU 46
(11:13 - 1st) Brandon Harris sacked by Jeremiah Ledbetter and Deatrich Wise Jr. for a loss of 6 yards to the LSU 40
4th and 20 at LSU 40
(10:26 - 1st) Jamie Keehn punt for 41 yds , D.J. Dean returns for 14 yds to the Ark 33

It's not always about play-calling. Execution on the field needs to happen.

He also benched LF during Eastern Mich and he could of easily broke the single game rushing record. We are not Bama and do not have a great defense. We have to actually score a decent amount of points to even have a change.

All the more reason to establish the running game and keep the defense off the field. It's not rocket science. It's the same offensive philosophy that Bama employs. Believe it or not, even though Coker is a 5th year senior, they do try to limit mistakes in the passing game the same way LSU does with Harris.

What do those two games have in common?

ROAD SEC GAMES. Harris's stats on SEC road starts:

3/14 - AU '14
9/14 - MSU '15
6/19 - Bama '15
26/51 - OM '15

44/98 (44.9%) Total in those 4 road starts.

How on God's green earth is any coach supposed to just keep throwing the ball more when the consistent production looks like that and you have the best RB in cfb on your team? Seriously people, last year the play-calling sucked. This year, not near as much, our OL just shite the bed in November and Harris lost all confidence in the pocket. We have to have better play from the passing game if anything will change and with production like this, it wouldn't matter who the coach is. We need to fix the play on both lines of scrimmage and everything else will fall into place.
