Does this cancelled game help or hurt our NC chances?

I thought about this question this morning and I'm not too sure if this helps or hurts us in regards to a national championship playoff berth. What are your thoughts?

If we go 11-0 and another team goes 12-0, we lose to them if we were competing for the fourth spot in the playoffs.

That's why we should have done everything we could to play Mcneese today.

frick whoever called the game.

If we are 12-0 we are not competing for the 4th spot. 12-0 SEC champs are in.

To even consider otherwise shows you are stupid, paranoid or both.

If we go 11-0 and win the SEC that puts us at 12-0 and the SEC champ at 12-0 gets in over 12-0 Big XII champ. I agree they should have either played late or tried to play today. However if we take care of business and win the SEC we get in.

ACC ain't going to the ship this year, that leaves PAC 12 and Big Ten to get one in and Big XII as well. Trust me the SEC champ will make it.

There's no way the committee will look at it this way. They'll see us in the same light as if we had assraped McNeese. It's not like we called an OOC game against Oregon or something. This was an FCS team. That win is next to meaningless in terms or ranking or anything related to the post season. The only disappointing factor is the valuable in game reps that our players don't get.

If we smash everyone on the rest of schedule, it will be counted as a phantom win.

Jesus you people are fricking pathetic. SEC Champs will not get left out of the playoff. TCU missed out because of the lack of a championship game.

To be fair, I'm not sure having one less game won't end up killing us.

My concern is for the SEC championship. If we're tied with another team for going to Atlanta, that extra win may end up being the tie breaker. That would have a huge impact on our playoff chances.

Why?!?

Why the hell would a game against McNeese being cancelled kill us.

If LSU wins the SEC and is 12-0 or 11-1 they are in the playoffs. To think otherwise is just STUPID. No other way to put it.

The McNeese game is irrelevant weather we played it or not.

The only thing of consequence that could have come from last night is an injury to a key player. That's it.

I'm starting to think that way. As long as we win the SEC, we should be okay regardless.
