Even as a huge LSU fan, I want the Saints to select players who best fit our needs and not select a player simply based on where he played in college. It is a little strange we don't have any LSU players considering how almost every team in the league does.

Even so...I don't think it's deliberate.

I do think we should skip Gumps though. Harper wasn't worth his contract and the little RB hasn't done much in his three years. They tend to attract other Gump fans and then the place begins to smell.

I believe the Saints would have picked OBJ in he would have been there at 20 and Cooks would have been selected ahead of him.

So no

Usually all the good LSU players are gone by the time the saints get to pick.

They could have picked Landry. They picked a wide receiver earlier. Can you imagine what Drew Brees could have done with Jarvis.

As opposed to the great WR that they picked?

Devery was not a Loomis pick, he was from the 2004 draft. I'm sure as hell he doesn't avoid anyone who can benefit the team.

However I'm also sure the T. Mathieu would have been a disaster if he had to live in New Orleans, it was best he get far away from his crew.

So he was a Loomis pick. Are you under the belief that Loomis started in 2006?

Would have been a huge reach and he didn't really fit the need the saints have. We needed speed

I'm having a surging in my loins thinking of a Heisman Trophy winning Leonard Fournette leading the Saints to a Super Bowl victory !
