Maybe he should just quit now.

Because quitting mid-season when there is a possibility of the playoffs and a probability of an NY6 bowl if they win out is exactly the same as playing in a 2nd tier bowl.

I hope he doesn't play in a bowl game. I'd rather get Nuss a full game to help prepare for next season.

Agreed, this seems like a team dude. He’s going to ride and play, part of the new culture

Probably not and I'm fine with that. It will be good to give Nuss a month of practice as the starter and see what he can do for a whole game leading in to next year.

In this scenario where we aren't in the playoffs I would absolutely love for Nuss to get a whole month of first team reps for bowl practice.

Can you please explain why he wouldn’t play in the bowl game and please don’t “he could get injured”.

Injury would be the reason you dunce.

We need Nuss to get as much practice as possible

Idk why you all just assume it will be his team.. if a top tier QB wants to come him after the season, no one will turn them away

Hell there’s been players who’ve opted out of entire seasons and still gotten drafted high.

Chase made that apparent.

I think he will play no matter what because he’s a team player

Dude that’s just the way the game is now. Honestly, it’s probably going to be the norm. The only way around it is to have a bigger playoff.

I think we can expect any top 1-2 round draft pick to NOT play in a meaningless bowl game, unless it is a playoff game, from here on out. That will only increase when the playoffs goes to 12 teams.

Why should they? If they are about to move on, their career is done and the game means nothing. Coaches leave. Players transfer. Everything is different now. The Playoffs will seal the fate of the bowl games to be a glorified exhibition to get underclassmen ready for the next season. A 5th year senior first round draft pick has no business playing in a meaningless bowl game - unless he really, really wants to.

So, the answer is, its up to him.

The offense is structured to include the possibility of him running. With the $$$ involved, I can’t believe this has to be explained to you.

Sure, he should probably just sit out the rest of the season since he has already shown that he is NFL ready, am I right?

I mean why risk injury or having a subpar game going forward.

He will play in the Rose Bowl (semifinal game) after LSU runs the table and will be the 4 seed in a rematch with Florida State.

Jayden ain't no punk, he'll play unless it's the Buffalo Wild Wings bowl and he's already locked up being a top 5 pick.

Depends on the bowl I bet. If we play Minnesota in the Independence Bowl, probably not. If we play USC in the Sugar, I bet so.

Give us a list of top Portal QBs, that are now in the SEC, that you feel are better than Nuss.
