Please don’t respond with the Playoff nonsense.

I say no, and I don’t blame him. Hopefully, he will be on his Heisman tour.

I’m gonna go on a limb and say he’s not making this decision in October.

Only if it’s the playoffs. So, likely not.

Can you please explain why he wouldn’t play in the bowl game and please don’t “he could get injured”.

Daniels doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy to sit out.. I think he plays regardless

Probably not and I'm fine with that. It will be good to give Nuss a month of practice as the starter and see what he can do for a whole game leading in to next year.

He's a 5th year senior who has made it very clear that he is a team first guy and will play injured if it means we win.

Everything he has done throughout his career tells me he will play in a bowl game. Although I wouldn't blame him if he didn't.

He'll play. He's not a quitter.

The offense is structured to include the possibility of him running. With the $$$ involved, I can’t believe this has to be explained to you.

He’s just learning to slide and avoid hits. I don’t expect him to sit.

If we aren't in the Playoff or NY6 bowl then I don't want him to. We need Nuss to get as much practice as possible

Maybe he should just quit now.

It, IMO, would be foolish if he plays in a Bowl game not related to a National Championship. He has earned it, no matter what he decides.
They mean nothing except bragging rites for fans.
If Nuss plays in a Bowl game, its another opportunity for next season's starter, to get all the practice snaps with the first team, and to prove he is ready.
If he is not ready, we can go to the Portal.

I’ll bet he plays. As another poster said, he seems like a team first guy who wants to win. Anyone who has watched him play at LSU sees that this guy is a competitor and tough as shite. IMO, that’s the type of player who doesn’t sit out games when his team is still playing.

First, I would want him to play.

But, preventing injury would likely be part of that decision. That coupled with feeling he won’t have anything left to prove at that point would be the major reasons he might not play. You can’t just eliminate a potential reason just because you (nor I) like that rationale.

I hope you’re right. I’ve enjoyed watching him play.

There were Bama fans that said Bryce Young would sit out the bowl game after the LSU loss and I told them he didn't strike me as the kind of guy to do that. Lo and behold he played in their "meaningless" bowl game.

I get the same vibes from Jayden. I think he'll play as long as he's able to go.

I suspect Daniels is probably a lot more "hurt" than what you know. All of the guys that play a lot are. That's just the nature of the game. Bowl games outside of the CFP are at their core just glorified exhibition games. Win or lose, it is the same result for both teams. The season ends. The only difference is the winning team will get a trophy and t-shirt. Fans don't like to hear that. But its the truth.

The risk of Daniels getting seriously hurt in a bowl game may be small, but it's not zero. I'm sure he has aspirations to play in the NFL so I can understand the mindset of avoiding risk for relatively minimal reward.

Of course, I'd love to see him play in the bowl game. It's just that I can understand his mindset if he chooses not to.
