Just curious. Obviously we need all RB's to have a solid game. I just recall reading somewhere, recently, that Hilliard has more elusiveness than Ware in terms of shiftiness, and I wasn't sure I could buy that either....I'll hang up and listen.

Hilliard is bigger, stronger, more elusive, and faster than Ware. Ware is our slowest RB.

In terms of RB speed, the list is:
1. Blue
2. Ford
3. Magee
4. Hilliard
5. Ware

Fair enough. I guess that because Hilliard is so damn large, it seems like Ware moves quicker. I'm super excite for this game

First, GFY. Second, I wasn't saying that I thought Ware was 'fast'. I was merely asking if Hilliard was faster.

Ware gets a bad rap. He is a work horse, always gets extra yards after contact, was our leading rusher most of the season, and has a wicked spin move.

He is also a freak athlete (see standing backflip and his baseball skills) and can catch out of the backfield VERY well, if only the OC's and Les would draw that up for him.

I dont know what it is with Ware the last few games, but he isn't busting a whole lot of runs like he was earlier in the season. Seems like he's getting tripped up after 2 yards almost every time

I think Ware is definitely faster in straight line speed than Hilliard.

I agree. With his running style, its almost as if he looks for contact at the second level. He is one of the most violent RB's I can remember in recent LSU history. Hester ran hard and would hammer safeties once he got to the secondary, but Ware knocks the shite out of LB's. Find me one guy who is excited to have to tackle that tough SOB.

Once again, for the simple minds....the question was not, "Does Ware have speed?".

The question was, "Is Hilliard as fast as Ware?" Nevertheless, your sarcasm is weak.

Wre just doesn't see his blocks as well as Hilliard does.

I would suspect that Ware has more speed than Hilliard, but Hilliard has better feet/footwork and hips than Ware. Also Hilliard has better vision.

Rewatched the Bama game last weekend, and saw that Ware missed 5 or 6 HUGE holes in the middle of the Bama D and ran right into.a defender, when he could have broken nice runs of 10 or more, I think Hilliard would have hit those holes running.. Ware keeps his head down too much as well...

Kenny has great field vision,he was much faster before he put on the extra weight. He has lost weight in the last 4 weeks and as his weight goes down he will surprize you with his speed

Remember the TR-SW comparisons after the Tennessee game? Seems like a long time ago.

If Ware finds himself buried on the bench in the CG i wonder if he might transfer. Our top 5 RB's are all sophs or younger.
