Get DirecTV Stream. Package with SEC network.
Like $80 a month compared to 150-200 for cable

YouTube TV is so much better.

ESPN+ is worth it for the ufc content for me. So if you’re a fan I’d consider it

Hulu is the way to go. I log into ESPN app with my Hulu credentials and watch all the games.

Really? I watch them all on ESPN+ but I do have cable as well. Didn’t realize I needed that. fricking lame for people who cut the cord.
No you don’t. You watch them on the ESPN app. I get why it’s confusing, so I’ll try to help you. The ESPN app allows you to view games that are aired on both ESPN+ as well as SECN+. However, most of these LSU baseball games are aired on SECN+. If you are logged into that app with your ESPN credentials, you may not be able to watch the SECN+ games. If you’re logged in with your TV provider, and they carry SECN, you’ll may be able to watch those SECN+ games. I had to subscribe to it, though.Again, two separate networks, viewed using the same app.

No you don’t - HULU and all of the other streaming services offer SEC Network packages - that gets you access to SECN+ and ESPN+
SEC Network doesn’t get you ESPN+

The HULU package gets you SEC Network and SEC Network+. You can watch the SEC Network and the SEC Network ALTERNATE channel on the HULU app. If you want the full selection of what is being aired on the SEC Network and SEC Network+, you will need to use your HULU credentials to log into the ESPN app. That still doesn’t get you ESPN+. Which doesn’t make a difference if you’re trying to watch LSU baseball. anyway.

Here's what I don't get about being a "cord cutter", you just end up subscribing to a bunch of shite.
I have a cable subscription. I get all the games I want because I have the best package (so I can stream ESPN+, SEC+, whatever). I get some additional services free through my cell phone and credit card. But I don't pay for anything other than my cable bill.
How is piecing together a bunch of subscriptions better than cable? Especially for sports.

The only real positive I’ve seen since switching from cable to YoutubeTV is no hassle/bs price increase while dealing with a cable box.

Will this still exist when they come to the SEC?

Cord cutting is a bit of a misnomer. It has become shorthand for people who don't do cable. It's a bit silly I agree to cancel cable then turn around and subscribe to X services.
To answer your question, usually cable companies don't offer the best price. They entice you with "free" stuff so you don't go comparison shopping. Many cable providers require a term agreement with cancellation fees. Streaming services mostly do not. Also communicating with cable providers can be nightmarish. They often get caught up in disputes with channel providers and if you're bound up in a contract, you have little bargaining power.
A lot of cord cutters were happy going the "easy route" too, but then thought the grass was greener on the other side. Many don't realize that "cord cutting" requires some technical savvy and has a bit of a learning curve. It's not for everyone.
I'm sure you never had any issue with your cable provider and feel the cost is reasonable.

When y’all say hulu. Do y’all mean hulu live or hulu. How much does it cost? I have YouTube tv rn and want to cut that. Have hulu but just plain hulu. Help
Posted on 4/16/23 at 10:17 pm to LSU1SLU
Hulu live is more expensive than Youtube TV.
If you want a streaming service that is equivalent to cable, Youtube TV is the best bang for your buck. If you want to go any cheaper, you're just cutting live TV altogether outside of getting an HD antenna.

Not as a separate channel, but I bet they still use those studios and productions on SECN.

This whole thread is a joke and many have fallen hook line and sinker.

Save it for Regionals though because ESPN moved most of the regionals to ESPN + last year.

I’ve been able to get pretty much every game through the Hulu with live sports. We just have to log in to show how you get ESPN/SECN (currently with Dish) if it’s on SECN+. We just have the basic Hulu package but got the sports part through a bundle with Disney+ that we got with Verizon. I just type “LSU” in the search bar and it comes up. I think if you were to cut cable and get the Hulu Live package that automatically included in that is live sports on ESPN+ and SECN+.

Ours is part of the Disney bundle thing with Verizon. But I think the bundle for sports just getting it through D+ is like $11.99/month. I think you have to have the Hulu Live package to get SECN+ for “free” in your sports section on Hulu though because anything on that is on SECN+ we have to log in with our Dish Network info then we can stream it. My mom has Hulu Live and she can get anything on SECN+ automatically best I can tell.
I can’t keep up with how all this works and what gets you access to what anymore
