Or is this one of those rant myths that we just ran with because we are pissed off about Saturday night?

Not trying to troll but really would love to know if Alleva was really that stupid.

Yes.

And yes, Alleva is that stupid.

Better just grin and bear it or if you got the funds, just whip out the old checkbook. Help your fellow Tiger Fans out.

But we need JA away from LSU before the next hire is made. That dumb motherfricker will wind up giving the job to the janitor that cleans the toilets in the football ops building.

Alleva, his boss F'king and the LSU BOS all had to approve of that.

It really is the most boneheaded and unbelievable aspect of a saga that had a shitload of such moments.

Why in the hell did we give O that big of a buyout? We weren't in jeopardy of him going somewhere else or anything. His buyout should have been like 1 mil or the remaining current year salary

Hiring O was a big mistake.

This buyout just doubled down on sed mistake.

Alleva is incompetent. Those above him are just as incompetent.

LSU football is now irrelevant.

And there is no quick fix.

Because he had leverage that he used for job security. You folks need to realize that we he hitched our trailer to the wrong horses, we got turned down and had to settle. But no self respecting professional would sign a contract, knowing he is the backup plan without getting some job security to know he wouldn't get canned the second things went wrong.

I swear some of you think you need to be on the coaching search committee but don't have the first clue about contracts.

So you think O would have turned the job down without the buyout? To do what? Go be the D line coach at Cal?

How the frick does a 3 yr, $3.5m a year contract equate to a $12m buyout? We would pay him more if we fired him than if he actually coached all three years? Am I mistaken about his salary or what am I missing?

Yeah. That doesn't make sense. $12 mil would seem to equal the total amount of the 3-year contract. I wonder if that's where they're getting that number. Is the total contract guaranteed or something?

Contract is 5 years not 3.
