You got that right about O being forever in debt to Alleva. It would not surprise me if there is some kick back action going on with those two.

NO ... stop the nonsense

Could they have looked at a game film together, of course, but I am pretty sure Alleva is not making watching film part of his job.

not when even the national media is pointing out that it’s a clusterfrick shitshow where the inmates are running the asylum.

You have any examples of national media calling this a shitshow with the inmates running the asylum?

I've seen national media question whether Orgeron is the right guy for the job and people opining that he is not, but I've never seen/read anyone allude to this as a "clusterfrick shitshow where the inmates are running the asylum."

I'm in Tennessee and haven't seen this or hear this anywhere but Tiger Droppings.

it's amazing how many believe this was a bad contract for LSU.

Why would anyone give a guaranteed contract to a man who could not even get an interview for other head coaching jobs? What is the incentive for the guarantee? LSU held all of the cards and just handed the contract to “O”.

If this had been a coach in demand — Jimbo, Herman — ok, they have options. They can go other places. You need to make them secure. O? This is his last head coaching job, succeed or fail. The buyout is ridiculous. Anyone who has ever negotiated a contract looks at this as one of the worst deals for a school ever given to a coach.

Like I said before the Florida win (which I'm happy about, BTW) - we'd have to take a step or 2 up to get to dumpster fire.

Having Alleva watch football film would be like showing a ballet to an octopus. WTF is the point in that?

Did anyone really believe O would get the job with a 12 mil buyout

Did anyone really believe miss st would beat us by 30

Did anyone really believe we’d lose to Troy.

I mean at this point anything is fair game

To give him a stupid contract and O kick some money back to Alleva.

That's a possibility and hence Alleva is afraid to see his head on a platter.

If you recorded ESPN College Gameday last weekend, just press play. It's a good starting point if you're wanting the national perspective of LSU at the moment.

Might I also recommend a "lsu Orgeron Alleva Troy" google news search

There's no shortage of articles and discussions on the current state of affairs at LSU. Unfortunately for us all as LSU fans, most of it isn't pretty.

It is a little funny.

Do you believe a leopard can change it's spots?

Is past performance a a good indicator of future performance?

Some past performance

Miami and it's outlaw history

USCw the whole Reggie Bush saga

Ole Miss hiring of David Saunders & Hugh Freeze

Tennessee things were getting nuts there, they can thank USCw for stealing their coaches

All of the above with one common denominator

He has already made a questionable hire at LSU.

Or maybe there is nothing to see, he just happened to hire on at bad institutions.

Funny? Still laughing?

Someone has to explain what’s happening on the field to O.

After what’s been going on since November, 2015 regarding LSU football, I’m about ready to believe anything.

If the head coach, 5 weeks into his coaching career, has to have a meeting with the A.D. and coordinators to do whatever, LSU has a serious problem. imo

I believe that Joe Alleva sees that his decision on HC is a potential train wreck and his future as an AD ANYWHERE is on the line. That he would be motivated to take extreme measures is really not much in doubt.
And If Alleva wants to watch film, what LSU coach is going to tell him "no"?

According to Landry, Miles would tell him no. I believe most big time coaches would as well. A once in a blue moon visit to sit in isn’t a big thing. Weekly though? That’s a huge red flag. Imagine Bamas AD telling Saban he was gonna sit in on Sunday film review lololol

If Matt Moscona had broken the news I'd say zero credibility, but it was Landry so yes

On CBS during the game last Saturday, I believe Gene Chizik made a passing comment to the effect that, when the players unanimously want someone as their head coach, that should be some kind of indicator. Wasn't written, and I doubt it ever will be written.

NS: Yeah, Bill, I'd love to chat, but I've got work to do - work the university pays me about 10 times as much as they do you, so, I'm going to have to ask you to come back on Tuesday when we have our normal meetings.
