Booing a collegiate athlete of any team or any sport is flat out fricking ridiculous. Hopefully, when you're older, you'll understand this. If you're older than thirty five and still don't understand this, then you're just an a-hole and a complete idiot.

Miles and Crowton are fair game, they're paid. The backup QB, and I'll say it again, the BACKUP QB is not. Frankly, it was embarrassing to hear on TV. That's not passion, that's ignorance.

The idiots were booing Lee, those with above a sixth grade education were booing the play calling, so it was a mix.

Tell, me. Does the pitch of a boo for play-calling differ from the pitch of a boo directed at a player?

Why is it that the first thing everyone says when they disagree with someone on a message board is "you'll understand when you're older?" What in the Hell does my age have to do with my understanding of football?

And, just to be sure I get this right, you said booing ANY player is out of bounds? What about the opposing team? Can I boo them? How about if I know the guy on the field personally and he screwed my girlfriend? Now? Can I boo him now? Or what if he takes his helmet off, runs to a cheerleader, and knifes her on the sideline? Too much?

As far as the coaches go, where exactly should I boo them? Should i go to their houses? Find them on the street somewhere? Run down to the chain link fence and point at them with a sign that shows I'm NOT booing the players, I'm booing the coaches?

You people are ridiculous. This witch hunt for "boo-ers" is out of control and past stupid now.

Booing is done by idiots who are retarded. I'm sure recruits at the game were real impressed.

I was in the Student Section... they were definitely booing Lee. It was quite embarrassing. Then they started chanting for Shepard to come in the game. Lee was sucking it up, but I don't know how booing him off the field is productive.

IMO fans shouldnt boo college athletes, but those boos should have been directed at miles. I don't see how Shep could have done any worse. Let the kid play, he's a playmaker.

It's not your age, it's your maturity. Some never achieve it. You're likely in that category. Booing a college athlete is bush-league at best.

Of course. And passing judgement and name calling is absolutely the sign of a mature individual. All because I disagree with you, no less.

In my opinion, most of the "we were booing the play call" talk is an ad hoc rationalization for the inexcusable practice of booing a 19-year old kid. If the boos were really for the play calls, they would be distributed equally among successful pass plays and unsucessful pass plays. What really happens is that fat, underachieving jerks in the stands boo Jarrett Lee and say clever things about how he threw interceptions last year. Then, after they realize that they suck for doing that, they say, I'm booing Crowton, not Lee.

It never ceases to amaze how people who are completely mediocre in their own lives demand excellence from college kids.

This is so true. I had to mute the TV.

FWIW, I agree that you are an idiot and/or immature. I'm just not sure exactly which one yet.

In my opinion, the people who are calling out others for booing are pathetic, judgemental, and ignorant of how football should be played at the elite level that LSU should currently hold. They likely have small penises and were booed as children for missing the game winning goal or dropping the pop fly that cost their team the game and are now hyper-reactive to anyone booing anything at all.

See...I can make sweeping generalizations, too.

Jesus tapdancing Christ. There is no better example of irony than a boo-bird calling out other people as judgmental.

What an embarrassment. The people booing are either children or have never spent a day working toward a degree on that campus.

If you call yourself a supporter of LSU you are sad booing a kid who I'm sure works hard. If you boo that team you have no idea what LSU stands for.

And i'm sure there is someone who could boo your failures.

If you'll look back at my posts, all I ever said was that if people want to boo they can. The name calling and judgements started on the other side of the arguement. I'm just showing that I can respond in kind.

While I do not agree with the Polly Anna Tiger fans who carry Pom Pons around cheering after after play, those who boo college kids for the quality of their play are classless morons, IMO.
If you re booing these kids and you are sensitive about namecalling, at least I'm not booing YOU in front of 80,000 people, so get over it. You lose sensitivity points for being the jerk that boos 19 yr olds doing the best they can.
I really don't like the level of play either, but I'll take it up with coaches or in a blog, not by embarrssing a college student.

You get more and more retarded with every keystroke. Some advice? Sign off for the day.

Hopefully, you don't have kids and never will, but imagine if your little Jimmy made his first sand castle and all the adults came over and said it was crap and booed? No booing is called class, something you lack, and decency, something that you should become familiar with.
