well, I would have to see it again to know if Richardson was PP's primary target, he could have released off a receiver real fast after seeing McElroy dump it off to Richardson, either way he stopped him IMO because the replay shows his butt touching the ground while trying to extend, they just got it wrong like they always do!

He did what he was suppossed to do, he kept JJ from getting the big gainer. Anyone who says that he had a bad game is a fool. It was a great matchup and both players showed how talented they are. No doubt he is still the #1 CB in the country.

Not at all do I think PP played a bad game. I just think the inexperience as a returner showed up(even being the great job he's done), and his attention to other things like return game and cramps has taken away from his focus to get the reps he needs to get better.

Its hard to simply compare PP v. JJ when PP is playing lights out in preventing the run from getting outside. The Bama backs had to turn their runs back into the meat of our D all night long. Then PP shuts down Maze and outside of a couple of very well thrown balls (4 or 5) holds JJ to little yardage. On a very important Bama 3rd down slant to jj, PP cut jj down on a hell of a stop. His physical skills almost prevented a big tight end from scoring. The guy is a beast and cant be judged by a few passes to jj or special teams play. Draft day will bear this out.

Is Jones that good and Peterson a little overrated

as an outsider on the game it looked to me that LSU tried to mug Julio on several attempts. I know that he was somewhat hit/pushed while out of bounds. I do agree with that is how you got to play him in a big game.

Jones manhandles other CB's in the conference when you watch him play, but he knows he can't do that #7 because the guy is just as big as him!
