They don't carry the PAC12 Network or the Longhorn Network either. So, they really might not carry the SEC Network.

I was thinking this as well, but I imagine the amount of money in the SEC vs. the other 2 will force a deal to be made. Not having the SEC network is like the government taking people in the south's guns away.

If Cox don't carry it, they will definitely lose my business. They already too damn high to begin with.

not saying they will or wont. but customer service people are going to be the last to know. most likely news of a deal will reach message boards before trickling down to the people working the phones.

Will DIRECTV carry the SEC Network?

Print Email We strongly believe every SEC fan should have access to the SEC Network on DIRECTV and customers can rest assured that is our goal as we continue our discussions with the owners of the channel. Contract talks happen on a different timetable with each TV provider, so unlike our competitors, we have really just begun our discussions and hope to have an update on status as we move closer to the network’s launch in August.

I agree about Cox. But what they'll do is jack up their rates again and say it is to cover the increase in sports programming.

There is talk of a possible Dish/Directv merger which might explain the delay or a ruse to get SEC network to the table, who knows. Either way I want my SEC!

When I spoke to dish, they said they will either add it to my package at no extra charge, or at the most charge 10 dollars more per month. Regardless, I'm still ecstatic about getting it. Plus I love dish

10 bucks a month? I read somewhere it only costs providers like $1.30 per customer.

I'd hate to drop DTV, but I will. I'm comfortable finding "alternative" ways of watching Saints games, but not CFB.

Sad, because I've heard mostly negative feedback on Dish. Maybe I'll give that door-to-door ATT salesman some business after all.

I have Verizon Fios. They added the Longhorn Network and the Big Ten Network. They have more than 6 million subscribers all across the country. Throw in Time Warner, Comcast, AT&T and the other teleco's around the country and you should easily probably see 10 million + subscribers without even taking satellite into consideration.

For the Dish people how much extra will the SEC network cost me? I already have the sports package, so will it just be added on to that or what?

Remember those price increases back in February? Yea.. that was for this. So really you're already paying for it.

It's not like the Longhorn, B1G, or PAC 12 networks. It won't be apart of the sports package. SEC Network will be included in the same package as ESPNU.. So the 120 plan or better. You won't have to pay any more once the channel becomes available.
