I just spoke to customer service a few minutes ago and was informed that Directv will not carry the SEC Network. I will switch to DISH. Anyone hear differently?

This. They have until August to cut a deal. Too much money on the table for both parties to not come to an agreement.

SEC network said they would have 75k subscribers. Can't see this happening without directv.

They don't carry it right now. I would have to believe they are going to get it before the deadline. Very few providers have it as of right now. In fact I think there are 2 - Dish and Uverse.

I think Directv will have SEC Network when it's all said and done, especially since Dish Network is on board, but are you saying that you don't think the SEC Network would reach 75,000 households with Dish Network, Uverse and say Comcast?

reps have to say this bc the deal hasn't been inked yet, but believe me they are trying to work one out, too much money to leave on the table, and yes they would lose alot of customers down here

They are all posturing at this point.....to much $$$$$ not to carry it. When it is all said in done, every major cable and satellite provider will carry the SEC Network. They know if they don't, they will lose a helluva lot of subscribers. It will probably be June/July before a deal is cut since the Network starts in August.

For the Dish people how much extra will the SEC network cost me? I already have the sports package, so will it just be added on to that or what?

This is the case with Uverse, so I assume it's the same with Dish.

This is just posturing to work out a better price. As others have said, they'll have it by the deadline.

Dis tends to be harder on these things than DirecTV, so don't count your chickens yet.

However, there is still time.

In the same boat here with Direct TV. Will definitely give them a piece of my mind about it. They will be left with no choice but to carry it. We may have to pay for it though.

They don't carry the PAC12 Network or the Longhorn Network either. So, they really might not carry the SEC Network.

They better get this shite straightened out. I live out of state and don't want to have to decide between Directv-Sunday Ticket for Saints game or SEC network on another provider.
