1.0 inning. No hits, 1 strikeout.

For anybody who watched or listened to the game. what are his prospects for the remainder of the season? I had assumed that he was done for the year.

Threw 20 pitches. 19 were fastballs and one was a change up.
Hit 92 on the gun and looked good.

I can confirm that he will not pitch in game 3 of the world series this year, but beyond that I'm not sure. My sources are still collecting data.

Thanks to all for the info. Obviously, they still won't let him throw that curveball. I'm glad they're protecting him, but it's a shame he can't utilize all of his pitches.

Yeah he K'd the first batter then threw about a 10 pitch AB that ended in a pop up to 2B then another pop up to 1B.

So 1K, a bunch of foul balls and 2 infield popups. Not too bad I guess.

I think he only threw the fastball though.

Threw every pitch in the 90's except for his one changeup he threw at like 80. He looked good. I have said that he would never pitch significantly at LSU, but I hope I am really wrong

All things considered Latz looked very good. Low 90's and looked effortless doing it. Not sure what the plan is going forward but tonight was a good step in the right direction.

I really hope this situation arises and Latz is called on.

From the bit I watched behind the dugout he mainly stayed with fastballs that varied from 91-93, unlike his 93 to 91 to 88 start a couple weeks ago. Did well with limited stuff, but I'm treading lightly considering the level of competition there. After 1-2-3'ing the Demons the crowd definitely realized the gravity of the situation and applauded him accordingly.

I'm waiting for the big reveal where he's actually right-handed and blows everyone away with only breaking pitches.
