Simply put, he isn't a prospect in this year's draft.

He's been there and not there the entire draft. I kept thinking he got drafted at first and I missed it

If Mel Kiper had best available based solely on talent, La'el would have been in the #1 spot from the middle of the 1st throughout the draft

I know the story but in theory he is draft eligible.

I would light up the agent, NFL and ESPN. It certainly appears, again appears, there has been some sort collusion between these parties (NFL and ESPN)to keep the kid from getting drafted.

Boy those would be some fun depositions. I'm still pissed at Goodell for giving the Saints the death penalty so getting his right hand in the air would make me happy!

He came out and said he wasn't signing.

Or his agent did

La'el not getting drafted is the best thing for him. He'll sign a 2 yr deal and become a FA before anyone else. Great opportunity for a mega deal early to make up for his loss.

Not being able to sign your draft pick kinda lowers the upside of drafting him.

Well no shite and not a shred of evidence that LC had anything to do with it, can that change? absolutely.

ETA: The NFL doesn't give two shits about the dead, this is image control to insure the cash flow doesn't stop or get slowed down.

No evidence to date, which could change.

Obviously the NFL/Goodell had to tell teams not to draft him....otherwise some team would have taken the risk by now to get a top 3 OT this late....3/4 of the picks going now won't even make a roster

And I know what his agent said and I would call his bluff....even league minimum is more than most will make in 10 years

This, to a degree. If he gets drafted, the next "story" is "NFL team drafts possible murderer."

No doubt, if Collins hands are clean he has options.
