Dawson has looked HORRIBLE, but I'm hoping he can give us a deichmann type transformation. Greg didn't even get his first hit in a Tiger uniform until his second year on the team.

Also, I don't remember anyone ever saying that they absolutely love being a DH, 99% of kids would rather be on the field. So basically he's saying he doesn't hit well when the the expectations are higher? If that's the case, I don't want him with a bat in his hands at all.

He has said before he does not hit well when at DH. He hits better when he's more involved in the game.

I would say that too, lol

That's not basically what he's saying at all.

Well nobody cares what you want. Looking at his at bats to RBI ratio Romero should be on the field every single game even if that means him catching. You don't keep a run producing hitter like that on the bench. He's also a very clutch hitter evident by the very first game of the year. Team Romero!

Typical Catholic High soft arse entitlement...
Grow a pair and improve defensively, or DH and hit the freakin ball.

yea both the Nolas and Sciambra were soft and self entitled so glad, having trouble hitting when only DHing is a common thing. Right now his bat is too valuable to not put him in the lineup we need people who can drive in runs, if this was a team that was hitting the ball the all over the park then putting the best defensive catcher behind the plate would be the right move but its not so wee need him in the lineup.

Exactly. The dudes an idiot. It's 6 series into the SEC and he thinks Pap is gonna go on a tear through the rest of the schedule.

If you think Catholic high breeds soft baseball players then you don't follow college ball enough. Catholic high currently has two weekend starters on Tulane's staff, a weekend starter on Auburn's staff, One of the leading hitters on LSU, A major league number 2 starter, and 2 starters on the top ranked juco team in the country.

Yea we breed shitty ball players.

beauchristopher said this in the other related thread & I think it is an excellent point .

quote:

Even if Romero batted 220 he's a better option because he puts the ball over the fence

He has limited at bats yet leads in homers.. Can always use a big bopper.
