Yep they played together.
And was a big reason why we got Blakeney. He said Simmons is the type of player that makes everyone better because he's unselfish and always makes the right play and willing passer and all that.
Which is why he chose LSU over UK, and his best friend is going to UK. That tells you the type of player Simmons is
Damn... youre right. Next years chemistry will be insane. Patterson and Simmons played together at Monteverde, and Simmons and Blakeney played AAU ball together. So 3 of our top players have been familair with each ther before ever stepping foot on campus.

Makes you wonder if Simmons played a factor in us going so hard after Patterson
