Cut him some slack. He was playing against some real monsters.

He played 39 minutes with no rest in the 2nd half

By comparison none of Kentucky's players played more than 30. Lack of depth absolutely kills this team

And he was flat out worn down. He gave everything to battle those bigs from Kentucky.

Tired? Monsters? Does he not have NBA aspirations? Looked more like tiny testicles to me

We lost one hell of a game to a NBA junior team. If we play like this, we will be fine the rest of the season. Micky and Martin can't do it by theirselves. The guard play espically in the last 2 mins cost us the game.

You go play for fricking 39 minutes against guys who are bigger (and probably better) than you...while they get a break every 6 minutes. See how you feel

So, your argument is I'm not as good as Martin? Well, no shite.

Mickey seemed to get better as the game went on, why did Martin shrivel?

Bru have you ever played sport in your life not on play station? The better team won. Martin played hard. I mean how many times did he actually even get ball late in game

I have never played play station in my life.

Of course the better team won--that UK team may be one of the greatest of all time. I am lamenting our loss. And wishing we had done things better. Martin imposed his will in the 1st half. Me and my buddy said he'd have to go for 30+ like JOB last year to win. He had 21 with 15 left and didn't score again. I'm not sure he took another shot.

He got the ball at the top of the key a few possessions and passed it to lesser players. For this to be good, he needs to be able to take over games. He shrunk when he could have risen. I don't think I'm out of bounds pointing this out.

Only on the rant do people bash a current player in hopes that he will stay another year.

Jesus Christ, I am not bashing, nor do I think anything I--or anyone else on here--say will make him stay. I think he's gone regardless. What the duck else would you have us talk about though?

Martin had a good game. But tonight, like far too many nights this season, he ran away from the ball late. Their were several times late in the game where he and Gray were playing a two-man game and he absolutely refused to attack the basket after setting the ball screen. Gray was desparate to hit him on the roll, but Martin just lingered at the perimeter.

He has a ton of potential. But I'm sorry, when it's crunch time winners want the ball. He stays out of the way late and just hopes to be a factor on the offensive glass. Tonight wasn't the first time that's happened. It was just the first time for many to see it

You tell your dad to drag Lambier and Malone up and down the court for 40 minutes a game.

Holy frick... Are you really bitching about Martins performance tonight? Dude was arguably the best player on the floor tonight and gave his everything for us.

There are a few areas to bitch about in tonight's game, but Martin is not one of them.

And the issue is that when we are in our half court offense, the team runs it through Mickey most of the time. When it should go through Martin. Our players need to do a better job getting him the ball and CJJ needs to do a better job at calling plays for him.

Without Martin's hustle this game would never have been in doubt. He played his arse off but it wasn't enough.
I'm proud of the Tigers tonight.
