"We feel that whatever qb is taking snaps in the game is the one who will be running the offense."?

I love it. Les is a smart guy, and a funny guy. He answers bullshite questions with circular Lesspeak.

sounds exactly like something he'd say

the more i hear him speak, the more i think he is freakin' brilliant and just wants to mess with everyone. on the other hand, sometimes i think just the opposite.

no matter how anyone feels about les, you have to admit he's one of, if not the most, entertaining coach in college football right now.

I didn't hear this, but I would bet that the context is what are you doing to prepare for the possibility of a QB other than Tebow. I find this answer very clear...but then again I'm not stupid.

Saban would have said, "From a football perspective, we feel that whatever QB is active relative to taking snaps will be commanding the offensive unit aight."

I would love to agree with you, but I sincerely doubt that Les is implementing a premeditated and brilliant rhetorical strategy.

And what was that a response to?

What does this have to do with anything? Oh right, your obsession.

And what was that a response to?

Full context:
quote:

Steve Eubanks of FoxSports.com asked about preparing a defense for two different styles of quarterback, as with Tim Tebow and John Brantley.

Miles: "We're preparing against Florida's offens, and we feel like whichever quarterback will take snaps there will operate with that offense. There's enough variability in that offense that gives you enough to prepare. It's an imperfect time, certainly. You don't know exactly the characteristic of the quarterback that's taking the snap, so you put yourself in the best position, you see where the offense dictates the quarterback's play, and you try to predict it."

The Palm Beach Post's Ben Volin asked whether the differences between Tebow and Brantley are so great they require two defensive game plans.

Miles: "Well, it's ... uh, yeah. Again, our focus is what Florida does, and I would guess that their players would expect that there would be some similarities in the calls. So -- again, imperfectly -- we're preparing for what appears to be the personality of the team that we're playing."

ohhhh.... well, if you're gonna put it in CONTEXT, it may have a different meaning totally.

shame on us if the nightly news folks ever start putting stuff in context... we might have to start thinking for ourselves, rather than letting them direct "our" thoughts...
