I didn't attend any home games that year so I don't know. For those that did, what was the atmosphere like in Tiger Stadium where we were so dominant?

Just curious if fans left early during this time of dominance.

I was too busy having fun in the Student Section to care when the rest of the stadium left during games.

FWIW ... I don't think so? Not sure enough to say.

Since you were a student, do you remember the student section staying mostly full?

For sure but it wasn't as bad since we didn't have any shite home games in mid-October.

People will stay at an arse kicking longer as long as the team receiving the arse-kicking is Auburn or Florida.

That was my first year and people left early too. The only game I remember staying full was Bama until that stupid screen play.

Fuuuuuuuuccccckkkkkk!!!!

Talk about bringing up bad memories! We physically beat their arse that entire game. And there was plenty of blame to go around. From conservative Les, to 3rd and Chavis.

yes...they have been leaving early since almost every game is televised now. Big time games, especially 2:30 kickoff, has the fewest fans leaving

kinda of hard to get a scoreboard pic of Arkansas score if you left early. that perfect season scoreboard is the greatest scoreboard score in the history of Tiger Stadium.

I remember the trend starting in 2006. We were steamrolling people at home and the games were over at halftime (ULL, Arizona, Tulane, MSU, UK). That's the first time I remember seeing huge waves of people leaving at halftime.

I don't think it was as bad as the last few years, though. I was a little surprised to see people bail out early this week with a 10-10 game at halftime. Why even bother going to the game if you only want to see one half of football? Save your time & money and just stay at home

Thanks for the fact check. It's still the most packed game I remember. People have always been leaving at half regardless.

yes. it stayed about 80-90% full ... the kids near the top probably left for Tigerland, but from what I could tell a damn great portion of us stayed.

Two things have made the difference imo. One is the obvious, parking. Its a bitch to park. Two is cell phones. When I was in school, you made plans to meet after the game by the jet or something. Now, I can text anyone and say its hot as shite...meet me outside gate x.

Seems like common sense. Big games they stay, close games they stay. Blowouts either way, leave early. What is so hard to understand? Is it the right thing to do? Who cares, if you want to stay then stay. Everybody can do what they please, they purchased the tickets.
