LSU should sack up and play the songs and let the student section do whatever. Its supposed to be a home field advantage not some church revival.

OK that may not be a great comparison but LSU will not do what you suggest as long as they are on national TV. I can't imagine CBS/ESPN/etc. would be OK with that either.

I thought that they played it normally the rest of the year, then cut it after the season because of what happened when we played SC

So basically Roy has no control whatsoever over when the band plays, what they play, how often they play, etc. when they are in the stands?
Also, I noticed that this year the SEC is allowing bands to be amplified with mics while in the stands, so long as they don't leave the mics on during actual play. Why doesn't our band do this? Other schools have been doing it for years. Some even leave the mics on to amplify the crowd noise (Florida and Auburn do this) even though it's against the rules.
