Because the coach that was responsible for that 2013 Ole Miss game was fired. The one that was responsible for last year's Florida game was given a contract. How difficult is that to understand?

exactly. I'm supposed to randomly bring up topics that have frick all to do with the topic.

I guess he wants me to start bringing up 2013 ole miss and start saying miles should be fired for it.

o has been coaching for 33 years and zero on the offensive side of the ball.

I get why some are critical of Orgeron for losing to Florida. He deserves criticism for that. But I'm starting to see people reference the loss to Alabama as somehow "proof" that he can't coach any better than he did at ole Miss... as if losing to Alabama is a shocking anomaly. Orgeron was supposed to take a team that barely beat Miss St and lost to Aurburn ... And in a matter of weeks.. With an interim staff... Beat Alabama with it? Really? That has Miles-fanboy sour grapes written all over it.

I had no idea what to expect. As a whole the team played better. Offensively it was a mixed bag. They did rack up offense on some bad defenses. The Bama game was horrible. Florida? I won't rehash because I've posted on this a lot. Just review the stats and critical player errors. Not a coaching blunder.

A couple things to remember on the offense. Ensminger grudgingly took over as the OC. He was upfront about not wanting the job and ultimately did an OC by committee. We also now know that Etling had a serious issue with a bulging disc and now admits that he was losing feeling in his leg and was in pain that prevented him from being able to sleep through the night. I get steroid shots for a bulging disc. I promise it sucks and I'm not getting pummeled by 300Lb DL.

Bama was a bad gameplan. No doubt. Florida was simply the perfect storm in a game LSU dominated. They finished by destroying Louisville and the Heisman winner in a game quite a few thought we would lose and certainly not win convincingly.

With an actual OC an likely a darn good one, I like our chances.

he is still the worst coach in Ole Miss history, and not even a Sun Belt school was offering him a HC position.

We gained 125 total yards--the fewest of any Alabama opponent. Dress it up however you want, but that is terrible.

O rly? If he was being offered all of these HC positions, why was he out of work for a year when Miles hired him as DL coach? The sheep are the ones that are eating up this very well executed PR campaign orchestrated by O and Ponamsky. I mean, really, O hired Ponamsky immediately when he got the interim position so that he could control the local media. The way you Cheerios ignore this is pretty sad.

Of course not but I have a feeling he was involved in everything a lot more than some think... just look at the difference in the way the team played as a whole... the attitude was different the execution was better in all phases... that's all I am saying... plus Etling himself said that the plays they were running after Miles left they used in practice all the time yet Miles would not let them run those plays in the games.....

except when it wasnt.

it's been glorious watching you tear down every stance you had during Miles' tenure.

quote:

Peej's stances under Miles

1.offensive production against weak teams is meaningless
2.offensive players looking lost on critical plays is on the head coach
3.lsu is just as talented as bama
4. LSU losing talent shouldnt be a problem because lsu recruits itself
5. miles is the only thing holding lsu back

peej stance the moment O was hired
1. touts offensive production against weak teams
2. offensive players looking lost on critical plays is on that player
3. you can't expect O to win 10 games with the returning talent
4.o shoukdnt be touted for saving the recruiting class( O SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO SAVE THE CLASS BECAUSE LSU RECRUITS ITSELF)
5. miles is gone and yet peej doesnt expect a sec title( but but but miles was the only reason we haven't been winning like bama )

just admit youre ok with all of that as long as miles isnt the coach

No, but I expected 7-1. The Florida game was super close though. I absolutely despised the hire, trust me, but I'm gonna wait and see if Orgeron can actually pull this off. I just hope Alleva has the balls to fire Orgeron the second it looks like it isn't gonna work. No fricking around.

I think he would have been a P5 coach next year somewhere.

He did have a pretty good run at LSU and USCw.

We played Mizzou and Ole Miss after Miles was fired.

Those were two horrible defenses.

The two good defenses we played with O head coach we lost to.

Miles had to Wisconsin and Auburn. Two good defenses.

So LSU played 4 good defenses and both HC lost two apiece.
