Did Alleva not know that more than 2 HC candidates were more qualified than CEO?

Why did he stop at Jimbo and Herman?
Literally every successful coordinator is more qualified than Ed Orgeron. Hell Dave Aranda is more qualified and was hired to be his boss.

Naw man. There were only 3 coaches in America who could possibly want this job. Only 3. No one else. No one is this vast country outside of those 3. That was all of them.

Its mind blowing.

We should have known looking at Alleva's history. It was obvious from the beginning, but we always hope for the best.

This is the biggest issue with me. JA couldn't say "we missed on our two main targets and will cast our net further". That would admit his ineptness. He comes out and says "O" is the best man for the job, blah,blah,blah....

It's like my wife conducted the search. She would google "Hottest rising college coach" & she's heard of Jimbo Fisher.

I don't think it's weird to expect a guy making a million dollars a year to show a little effort performing his duties.

How do you know he didn't contact more coaches? How do you know nobody wanted to take over this job with the expectations as high as they are right now?

Hell look at the expectations on which coach people think we can just snag as if they don't have a say in the matter. Our top choices made a different choice.

No need to reach and overpay a coach that might blow up the good parts of the staff and ruin a great recruiting class. If O fails to land his OC and a competent QB to start next year, this won't last long. There will be many more coaches available in year or 2 if we need them. Most of them are just settling into their new places.

How do I know? We just hired Coach O 48 hours after our last game that's how I know.

A coach Syracuse passed on.

Perhaps the ones that might have been considered and you don't know about told him quietly, "No thanks I'm happy where I'm at right now".

Exactly. Some of our fans are way too delusional. This is not a good time to be hiring a coach.

Fleck seems like he's not ready to leave.
Fisher only wanted to get more money from STFU.
Herman acted like a little biatch over something his agent started.
Petersen has no reason to leave UW.
Fuente just got to VT and probably not ready to make another move yet.
Saban, Meyer, and Harbaugh are a little preoccupied.
Nobody wanted Petrino or Briles.
Chip Kelly is not ready to leave the NFL yet. (He may have help making that decision soon)
Most others are probably still unproven or just fckin happy.

Get over yourselves. Not every coach wanted to be here as much as O or they would be.

If she searched this, she probably would have found links to pictures of Kliff Kingsbury.

Yes, O makes $3 million a year and you live in your mom's house so you are indeed the idiot.
