Hello, long time reader here making a first post.
It seems like Devin Whites speed, strength, and aggression is unheard of for his size. Why have we not seen him in at RB for at least short yardage situations?

He probably wouldn't have got stuffed on that fullback dive against FL.

When you have two of the best running backs in the country, you don't risk having a true freshman linebacker fumble it. I could see him getting some short yard chances down the road like Myles Jack.

Because he'd be no higher than 4th string RB, while he was ~2nd or 3rd team LB, and we had/have a real NEED at LB.

Pretty simple really --- he wanted to see the field.

We have a lot of great RBs... no so "loaded" at LB.

Because we have 2 of the greatest running backs to ever play the game.

We needed LB's really bad and he was talked into that position as he could have played either. Life span of a LB is better that a 260 lb RB in NFL... just sayin

With our shortage of RB's in the next few yrs I was wondering if he switches back.

I mean he should be a LB

But he can learn a short yardage play or two

Because David Ducre, who would probably also shine better at LB now.

with our thinness at LB, I wonder if we'll see some position changes in the spring.

what "shortage? Guice, Williams, Brosette, Ducre, and then some --- plus, don't you think we'll sign at least 1 good one per year the next 2 years (and beyond)?

Shortage of RBs is not our problem.... now if you mean our shortage of LBs.... yes, White could be a big key to keeping our LB corps viable until we can recruit some more good players to fill those slots.

We need those kinds of instincts on the field all the time. He almost had another play just like that. Devin Bada$$

Because we have the best running back duo in the fricking country, that's why.

That was one of the most bad-assed plays I've ever seen.

I like him at lber but for the record he rushed for over 4 thousand yards in hs and is prolly the 3rd Best running back on the team as a freshman ....but he is a buffalo soldier in defense who will be a first rounder at lber....nm....
