if LF gets anywhere to close to what Hill did he will have lived up to the hype.

The way to read this is like this:
Leonard Fournette is the most hyped recruit I've seen come to LSU in the last 27 years, and he did have a good freshman season. The description of his physical skills (size, speed) do not seem to have been exaggerated. Thus, at this point, he now appears to be the real deal, and could possibly have a great career.
There's no real way to say he's better than, say, Jeremy Hill, Kevin Faulk, etc, just that he appears to be a better physical specimen.

I agree with that. And I think that's what he is saying with some optimism behind the statement.

He's a solid kid, he can catch and has surprising body control as a receiver too, I get the hype....hope it all works out

This is ridiculous. Jeremy Hill, who was here just two seasons ago, is a tall measuring stick that Fournette would have to get to.

Mike D also said aTm running back Leland McIlroy was the best rb and Irv Smith was the best te he ever watched play.

Jeremy Hill was the most dominant back I've seen at Lsu. Lsu is well known to split reps between running backs, which I love btw, but I think the reason you didn't see him smash every record Lsu had was due to that. I will never forgive the Saints for not moving up to take him. *grumbles*

But, but but Georgia and Alabama backfield is better. Just look at ESPN, bleacher report, etc.

His freshman year, while great, was not the best offensive season
when I see quotes like this I just laugh. It's obvious to me that some of you guys are honestly very, very intellectually challenged. If you can't see how special LF is with his size and speed, and how much he improved during the second half of the season last year....then well..

This would not shock me.
Cam Cameron doesn't really run a two QB system and never has.

Let's play the season out. Cecil Collins had a better "one" year that buga. hopefully things will fall into place that an LSU player can finally live to high expectations with 3 great years of results.

I'm going out on the limb here but Guice may have something to say about that. He's already ahead of where LF was as a freshman from what's being said

He has great potential.
He was one of the best backs in the SEC by the second half of the season.
The rest is hype.

What does that have to do with that quote? Are you intellectually challenged?
The quote literally said he had a great season, just that it wasn't the best freshman year ever at LSU. That isn't outlandish at all

Is he seeing this fall's practices? Because LF's freshman season, while nice, was nowhere near good enough to,deserve that kind of ridiculous hyperbole.
exactly what I was thinking...the amount of hype he gets is really nothing short of amazing. really kind of unfair to him as well...
