I just hope he lives up to all of the hype. Really it's unfair to the young man, too soon.

Mike D can really act like a parody of himself sometimes.

That statement is such a joke

Telling yall right now that we have the best running back 1, 2 punch in LSU history right now. Guice is a fricking animal.

Kevin Faulk comes to mind

As good as Faulk his highest season yards per carry # was 5.6 and last year (with the worst passing game in lsu history )LF'S yards per carry # was 5.5.

But if the guy is going on pure talent then yeah LF has an argument but as far as production it's KFaulk all the way.

I love how whenever a conversation about the offensive player ever comes up, only skill position players are mentioned.

Because LF's freshman season, while nice, was nowhere near good enough to,deserve that kind of ridiculous hyperbole.

He led the sec in all purpose yards as a true freshman.

His 5.5 YARDS PER CARRY dwarfs the first year yards per carry of all the great lsi rbs.
Higher than Charles Alexander.
Higher than Kevin Faulk.
Higher than Dalton Hilliard.
Higher than Jeremy Hill.

If he ends up being better than Hill, I'll agree.

Honestly, I wasn't overly impressed during the season, but going back and watching the highlights, he was incredible for a freshman. He improved tremendously towards the end of the year.
11 (rushing) carries for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns against ND?
Come on. 13 yards per carry. 1 TD every 5.5 touches.. No one does that!
He keeps that up and we'll wonder why the F we ever gave Hill a scholly.

This backfield is just obnoxious. It's almost unfair.

Not to mention one of the best O-Lines we've had in a while. I'm hoping the talent at RB following excellent blocks translates to many first downs and ultimately controlling the clock, and TOP. And of course points. That is how you win at football!

I'm so ready!

Could have said the same about Cesil Collins. Has to be proven on the field.

Can we ban anything from this guy on the board? He is nothing buy Mr. Obvious. He is terrible and shouldn't be given any airtime on any show.

He's got the raw athletic ability to be, but he's not even the best RB at LSU in the last 27 months....yet.

FIFY

I mean hell the bengals already have an article out on hill being the potential savior of their franchise, as a RB, in today's NFL...
Hill just recently completed the second best statistical season at RB in LSU history while being suspended and brought along slowly early on. Almost 7 ypc also...

Hill was on an LSU team the year before fournette, and now guice (next in line for 4 heismans it seems) is on our squad a yr after fournette gets here.

Let's just slow down and enjoy the ride fellas, we have some great players coming through right now. I'm going to sit back and soak it all in, they will be gone before you know it and we will have plenty of time to compare them to each other with actual stats and clutch performances (Hester, JV..)

I love Fournette as much as the rest of you, and this very well could be true, but Detillier loves making hyperboles like this.

Yeah just my two cents have to see what he does in the next years, we all expect great things.

He may be the best pure athlete ever, but right now its a stretch.

Yep. Not to mention how electric Faulk was everytime he touched the ball.

I was at LSU during Faulk's freshman season. I think back to how much they HAD to lean on him because of how good he was and how average that team was in other areas.

David Lefleur, Eddie Kennison, Alan Faneca, Todd Maclure, Booger Macfarland, Gabe Northern, and Chuck Wiley disagree. There was some serious talent and future NFL players in that team.
