LINK
Guice talks about the transition from high school to college, pressure of playing with guys like LF and DWill, Harris has a cannon, summer workouts and conditioning, etc.
Really a good interview. You can tell how excited Guice is for the season to start and to play for LSU. Sounds like hes working his butt off as well and is more than willing to do whatever the coaches ask him to do. Kid is going to be a monster

Asked Guice if he will return punts/kicks "I have no idea." Asked if he wants to, "Absolutely." @1045espn

Guice: I will go wherever the coaches tell me to go. If that means me being longsnapper I'll do that. I will do anything to get on the field

Matt asks about 7 on 7s around the 6:45 mark, and he asks who "stands out" so far. Brandon Harris was the first name he mentions.
Perhaps it's me hearing what I want to hear, but at about the 6:56 Mark, it sure sounds like he begins to refer to Brandon Harris as "the starting quarterback", and catches himself at the last minute.

Oh yea...
Should also note that I read an article a few weeks ago with Moffitt about the strongest players on the team... This is what he had to say about Guice:
Kid must be putting in some serious work

Of course there's another incoming freshman Moffitt expects big things from in the weight room and on the field. That would be running back Derrius Guice, who played at Catholic High alongside Moffitt's sons.
"Another one I know is going to test out really well, and he's only a freshman, is Derrius Guice," continued Moffitt. "I've known Derrius for a long time. He's been friends with (my sons) Clay and Aaron for a long time, so I've heard all the stories about him. So Derrius will break a few records (in the weight room) before he leaves as well."

Some have said he's the best athlete on the roster, including Leonard.

He is going to be a monster. I still swear he was the best runningback in highschool last year

I agree completely... He was just as good or better than the guys ranked ahead of him

Never really heard an interview about the HS transition like that, that was pretty damn awesome! Guice got that Honey Badger SWAG! He's gonna be fun to watch the next 3-4 year!

Damn... That's some high praise. He's def a great athlete for sure. His burst for being 215lbs is ridiculous. Crazy explosive for his size and is very powerful as well... He's got that mindset where he won't go down by the 1st tackler. Angry runner. Similar to Cadillac Williams at Auburn.

Guice could be a very good WR too if we ever needed him to line up there. Matt was right. He has a special combination of speed, quickness, and force.

I like this young guy's mind set. He willing to do anything to get on the field. That's a sign of a true football player.

Which is exactly what Guice is. He will make an impact in areas other than running the ball, which he's great at. He will make an impact catching the ball, protecting the QB, in the return game, and covering kicks and punts. I watched him a lot when he was in high school and he would absolutely destroy people on kick off as a sophomore. Could be a monster safety as well.

We have alot of elite freshman that i can't wait to see take the field, but Guice is my favorite.

I heard that too

I heard it three.
Wearing #5 with his speed and versatility, i think he compares to Reggie Bush. I know he has 15-20 lbs on Bush(at least as college frosh)but he's a freak athlete and I expect he'll get his fair share of touches for a change of pace.
