Believe me I was to but some what expected this when the weather forecast came out not to mention the fact that AU isn't very good.

I can't argue about the fact that most students leave early. But there was a good atmosphere before the game and in the first half. The rest of us that stayed for the whole game made a good bit of noise. No doubt it was the rain that drove most people out. Get over it, we won the game and looked pretty damn good doing it.

I agree with you about tonight, but with everyone knowing it was going to rain and us jumping out and controling the game early everyone knew a lot of people were going to go and get out the rain. LSU fans still show up and make noise on the Alabamas, south carolinas, and floridas. So you can't say it's a total joke. People leaving early is always going to be a problem if its bad weather or a crappy oponent. There is no excuse for how bad it was tonight though.

Student section is a joke. I was on both sides of the stadium throughout different parts of the game, and when I was behind the south endzone - the biggest, most noticeable gap was the student section, by far.
I'm a student and even I think they're mostly dumbfrick idiots who want to go to some shitty bar over watching and supporting their team.
The ones who don't think the fans are lame probably don't take football seriously. Which is alright, but I love football and LSU a ridiculous amount...and for that, frick you all for not being as passionate as me. Seriously.

I am really concerned about the new seating. I know the seats are paid for by the additional luxury box expansions, but 10,000 more extra seats will just be all that much hard to fill.
At this point it's hard to make the case that we will use the seats. Maybe in a close SEC game with Alabama or some other ranked team, but against unranked opponents I don't think you get a sellout.
In defense of the fans, parking apparently was not an issue to the university when they embraced a "build it and they will come" attitude.
In short, I think the LSU fan base is spoiled rotten.
And we can only blame Coach Les Miles for that.

It was embarrassing to see. People hate to hear it but it's the truth. It can't go both ways, death valley can't be the hardest place to play and the fans leave when it's wet or we are up at halftime. It has to be dominant from the start to the finish.

I've got 6 tickets for the Florida game. This will be the first LSU game for both of my sons. Really excited now that Driskell is out for the year. We should prolly be able to leave after the first quarter. ??

30 years ago our fans would have partied in the rain. Now they look for ANY excuse too leave early. Bama and Fla are the only games they don't leave early. Thank the athletic dept for pricing the tickets so the true fans can't go. I don't understand why we are building a south upper deck.

Those folks who like LSU had/have a good opportunity to purchase tickets for a lot of these games through the ticket office. Even more through the marketplace, although with a with a 25% premium applied. How many of those did you or are you scooping up for games? Folks who like LSU should do their parts and help contribute financially to the program. and pay full price by buying through LSU and not looking for a handout. And we season ticket holders thank you for your annual $10 contribution for the wait list every year.
