DD Breaux should be the next athletic director at LSU

Seriously. She's been at the university for over 40 years. She knows more about LSU athletics and the inner workings of the athletic department than anyone else out there. She has a number of great connections already in place to continue everything that's going on and do even better.
She has great business acumen. She single handedly fund raised money for a state of the art gym practice facility. Just think about that for a second.
She's charismatic to your face and cutthroat behind your back. That's a perfect combination for an AD.
So once she wins her national title this year, fire Joe and hire DD.

We'd be the first university in the history of the planet to promote a gymnastics coach to AD. I see no flaws in this plan.

Fundraising hasn't really been a problem at LSU. The question at that point is whether or not DD's attributes would translate into identifying good coaching hires.

I will say this about DD, she has been very successful. But some of the stories about her when I was an athlete make her seem a little nuts 
She basically starved some of her athletes, enough to where we had to have a huge lecture with all the athletes about the dangers of anorexia.
She would wake them up in the middle of the night to make the do routines in the hotel hallway
Making them train hurt
She seems to get the best out of her athletes, but it was not glowing endorsements while I was there.

She did not single handedly raise all the money. TAF funded a great deal of it.

We promoted a baseball coach to AD. that worked out well. Why not give this a try? I don't even know if she'd want it. But I think she'd be a fantastic hire for the university.

Wasn't Herb Vincent's name floated out there? That seems a more natural fit over someone with no management experience.
I'm not automatically opposed to Breaux and she's at least worth an interview, but it'd be nice to have someone who has actual experience working in an Athletic Department in management.
