How bad must Dayton be to be only a 1.5 point favorite against a team that just lost to Nichols..seems fishy. I think LSU wins this game

If they do I will be so pleasantly surprised that I’ll start having visions of March.

Doubt they’ll last long.

No one knows what this team is yet. But until we get proof that LSU can win I don't expect us to win.

All of this. Miss. Val State was a very bad team that made LSU look better than they may actually be. On the other hand, LSU had one of the worst halves of shooting I've seen in a game in a while combined with just piss poor defense against Nichols. Dayton can play pretty good defense but struggles to score at times. Think it ends up being a close game with both teams scoring in the low 70s, but thats also me hoping that we don't shite the bed again

It feels like this is a team that will live and die by the 3. Just don’t have anyone who can create with consistency.

Agree

I'm not willing to go there just yet. Even if LSU had blown out Nichols I wouldn't say LSU "should" win this game. Dayton is projected to be the top team in the A-10...which is always a good league.

I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if LSU does win (early season games are very hard to predict. Especially those at neutral sites). But "should" is probably a bridge too far right now

Both teams are 1-1, but Dayton has a better win and a better loss than LSU. However, the advanced metrics sites seem to like LSU b/c of how they destroyed MVS and the big comeback vs. Nichols. So, if you were a betting type, this might be a game where things are artificially skewed towards LSU. I guess we'll find out at 3:00 pm.

Dayton’s point guard that averaged 10 ppg and 5 assists last year tore his acl about two weeks ago. That’s a pretty big loss for them.

Kenpom has LSU less than .5 above Dayton, but like I was telling that other poster during Nicholls game, it’s way too early to start trusting any metrics in mid-November.

Vegas is in the same boat, but their main concern is distribution of betting, not predictive analytics.

Kenpom has LSU winning 68-67.

I have used the analytics in the past to help gamble though I don't always trust them this early.

I dont think a Dayton -1.5 is outlandish either way.

Win or loss it's gonna be a close game and a tough game. They struggle with guard play just like us. They have a pair of stellar forwards that are good rebounders. I expect LSU to struggle on the glass and possibly in transition this game.

Don't be surprised if they win based off of second chance points and offensive rebounds
