BH will transfer as soon as he graduates. He will never take another game day snap for LSU.

Spring, Summer, Fall competition only knows. Should be thoroughly vetted and fair.

I don't understand the Lindsey Scott hype. I have nothing against him and I hope he is as great as some have said.
However, he was essentially a fall back recruit when Les and Cam couldn't attract anyone else. He wasn't offered until late and his other offers were not that great.
Indeed, sometimes less high rated recruits have turned into great players but he was a consolation, default recruit and now folks think he is going to somehow magically going to beat out all comers.

Etling and not close. Senior leadership and played in big games.

Perhaps the biggest games of the year were Bama and Florida.

As opposed to Lindsey Scott Sr? I didn't know we needed the distinction between the two.

Les and cam not really wanting him bad should not be a negative for LS. Les sucked as at recruiting and even playing the right QB.

A lot of people here wanted Scott bad. I even trust the rant over Les on this one!

So you are blaming Florida on etling? Good god. Lsu had 400+ yards. Jackson and guice cost us a blowout win. As for bama....no one played well on offense.....you could say the same for LF against bama, but you won't.

Not at all. Poster said that he "played" in big games. We must also consider how he played in big games. It is what it is. Etling a serviceable QB. He shouldn't be that difficult to replace.

Actually more people wanted them than their opponents. (Popular vote vs Electoral college) IJS

Even with LSU not offering until very late, his only other offers from Power 5 schools were Maryland, Rutgers, Syracuse, and Wake Forest, so it wasn't just Les and Cam who weren't that high on him.

Relevance?

Baker Mayfield 3 star - 3 year starter at OU

Offer Sheet (FAU, New Mexico, Rice, and Washington State) - Power 5 offer

He's 5'11" - that was/is the knock. His ability was not a question.

Nobody has seen Lindsey Scott at this level yet.

My guess is that it will be Etling and it won't be close.

And if you think Etling as he played this year is going to get us through against good defenses you havent been paying attention.

Etling only had one bad game last year, and that was against Alabama, and we still only lost by 10. Nonetheless that loss was more the fault of the antiquated Les Miles offense we were forced to play more than it was anything else. Of course, we also loss to Florida, but that game was a fluke game more than it was anything else. Otherwise, Etling's play was good enough to win. Of course, only a fool would wish for his play not to improve and be better, so there is always room to improve. But there is no way we are going to lose four games next year if Etling gives us the same level of play he gave us this year. For one thing, thank God Les Miles and his miserable offense is gone. Etling is by no means great, but for the most part the is good enough to get the job done, especially since Les Miles is not influencing the calls any longer.

how the frick did I get 9 downvotes for saying harris lacks pretty much everything that makes a good QB successful? Please share Harris' strengths with me

Actually Harris has all the skills and physical tools, but apparently doesn't have any of the mental tools.

Anyway, I didn't down vote you because I never saw your post.
